“Full disclosure I know the owners. That being said I have been active in the craft beer scene in a different state for a long time and Lower Left reminds me of the exciting early day of craft brewing. A local brewery, laidback vibes, run by folks that want to make a good product and have a fun time doing it. The beers well made, and the selection is stellar for such a small brew house. They really shine with IPAs, but have some amazing rotating beers (including a Key Lime Pie beer that is in my top 10 list). So bring your spouse, kids, in-laws, dogs, cats and head over to Lower Left for a solid beer and good times.“
“Great service, great food, great atmosphere, but not fun parking experience. I think they have a lot in the back, but we just parked on the street. It was such a beautiful night and they had the windows open. Waitress made sure our drinks were never empty.“
“Love this place. The service is fantastic and I've never had a bad meal or a bad drink. I highly recommend their brisket meatballs and their sandwiches. There's a large patio to chill and have a beer and/or just hang out. Dogs are welcome on the patio too!“
“When I used to live in the city few years ago I used to rave about how all of the Charlotte breweries couldn’t hold a candle to the charcuterie at Lenny Boy - always with two rotating, high quality cheeses and lots of other selections. We would go frequently and I would always order it.This last time we went it was the same price as it had been for a plate that consisted of one cheese, a few crackers, a sparse amount of salami, a slice or two of prosciutto, some oats? and raisins, with Dijon mustard.Super disappointed in the noticeable drop in quality. Still a huge fan of their kombuchas and atmosphere - so I can’t exactly give them a low rating here - but hate to see something that really made them stand out to me so drastically change because Lenny boy was always 5 stars in my book!I would genuinely be willing to pay more for a higher quality selection and am leaving this here for the powers that be to consider :)“
“I visited Summit seltzer for a comedy show on Thursday night. I was invited by your friend. I've never come here before and I was super glad that they had parking, not just parking, but ample parking in their own parking lot. Upon arrival my friend and I stopped at the bar and we met Eric who is one of the Brewers. He has a very cool look and a personality that compliments his look. Drinks were amazing as well as the seltzer. I had two drinks and one seltzer. I was glad that neither the seltzer or the drinks were too sweet. The name of the business is now #Bevery! The local comedians were funny, and I had quite a nice time and received some interesting prizes. I want to come back over the weekend to experience the business.“
“I’ve been here twice now for private work events- both times Keo was the bartender. He’s the best. The beer is great. The space is great. But honestly I’m only leaving this 5 star review for Keo.. he has set the bar for what 5 star service at a brewery looks like. Thank you!“
“The beer is quite good. The atmosphere is industrial typical. It is often crowded though usually there are seats. I haven't tried the food, so I can't comment. This is not a good place to have a conversation between more than two or three people. With loud music and other people, it is hard to hear without shouting.“
“Very nice black owned brewery I believe this is my second time visiting. I always enjoy myself when I do visit the first time I sat in the small bar area and enjoyed my drink and conversation with my friend the second time I was there for an event, and was in the larger room, I had a cider which was really good and reasonably priced. I'm glad I got to enjoy the food before it was sold out parking is terrible and the parking deck is a small walkway.“
“Awesome experience. Very friendly staff, great food and beer. The 3 meetballs were so good and a perfect meal to fill me up. (Be careful with portions since a friend ordered a calzone and it could have fed 3 people - they definitely should cut the portions). Will back for sure (and just order an appetizer since that was a perfect meal portion).Oh and and music bingo was so fun :)“
“Loved this place. Great beer options, good menu. Only negative, imo, was the live music made it impossible to talk with friends. Dont know a solution. Entertainment is a nice touch. Maybe they can tone it down a notch? Or start it later in the evening ? We were there at 6pm on a saturday.“
“What a joint. I had a day trip to Denver, NC today, not leaving a lot of time for nourishment. Had a very small window between my meeting and getting the car back to CLT. Walked in, not realizing they were not open yet. After hearing my situation, the dude asks the kitchen staff if they can fire up a plate of wings for me. No problem. Excellent dry rubbed wings with a pint of killer IPA.Service like this still exists? Bravo. I'll be back.“
“Brittany the beertender was THE BEST!!!! She was a woman who was kind to woman, my bestie and I came in for drinks, and normally with a girl behind the bar, we get treated poorly, not with this one! The owners/managers should be proud of her, she welcomed, talked to, and made everyone feel comfortable!!! Thank you Brittany!!!~Rikki“
“My server was also the bartender so even though he was incharge of the whole restaurant, he was attentive and kind. He suggested to try any of the burgers so I got the classic burger which was a great choice! The food came out hot and it was so delicious. I will be back when I'm in the area.“
