“This place is very clean and welcoming. It always smells very fresh inside and the bathrooms are equally as clean. The food is DELICIOUS and affordable. It's spacious on the inside with XL booths and lots of tables. There is a bar that serves drinks. Lots of variety here. Such a gem of a place to have in this small town.“

“Oysters are outstanding. Fried perfectly. Salt &pepper flounder is awesome. Love the white slaw because it is finely chopped. Baked potato is always fluffy.“

“This is the best places ever!! My mom love it there, the owner is great and go over and beyond to make her residents happy. She is great. She will not let unruly residents make it bad for the rest. She runs a tight and safe place for all. For the price you can’t beat it, other places that are more expensive have nothing on this place.“
“If you are looking for real deal in street tacos, the Happy Taco is your kind of place. The homemade corn tortillas were top notch. The owner is from south Texas and he has brought authentic ingredients and flavors to Elizabeth City. Service was excellent. Next time I'm in town I will make a stop here.“
