“That was some of the absolute BEST Mexican food I have had besides some select restaurants in San Francisco! I have been to many different states; even Texas, and they don’t even come remotely close to how good that food was. For instance, ordering some grilled jalapeños from another restaurant and it’s just put on a grill and call it a day. This place, actually took the time to sprinkle seasoning that was awesome on them. I ordered the dinner Chori-Pollo and was spectacular!!!!! Great atmosphere and very friendly staff!!! Thank you!!!!“

“This place is very clean and welcoming. It always smells very fresh inside and the bathrooms are equally as clean. The food is DELICIOUS and affordable. It's spacious on the inside with XL booths and lots of tables. There is a bar that serves drinks. Lots of variety here. Such a gem of a place to have in this small town.“

“This is the best places ever!! My mom love it there, the owner is great and go over and beyond to make her residents happy. She is great. She will not let unruly residents make it bad for the rest. She runs a tight and safe place for all. For the price you can’t beat it, other places that are more expensive have nothing on this place.“
“If you are looking for real deal in street tacos, the Happy Taco is your kind of place. The homemade corn tortillas were top notch. The owner is from south Texas and he has brought authentic ingredients and flavors to Elizabeth City. Service was excellent. Next time I'm in town I will make a stop here.“
