“What a pizza! I'm not sure what we were thinking, ordering the Alfredo with mozzarella and then adding jalapenos and pineapple.
Milano's is one of (if not the) oldest place in Oxford that still has the same owners. We got to meet them and the long serving waitress this evening after visiting a number of places in downtown and deciding that pizza was for dinner.
We were the last customers to walk through the door this evening and the lady at the counter said "If you're here, I'm still serving." and that lead to a most pleasant evening of pizza and beer*.
The pizza was a fabulous hand-tossed crust topped with their hand-made alfredo sauce and mozzarella. Cheesy and creamy and delicious especially with the spicy and sweet added. A medium was enough for two.
This was a real treat and I will need to be back for Thursday's Egyptian extravaganza. We saw pictures and it all looks amazing.
* Milano's does not currently have a liquor license. We got beers from Tobacco Wood nearby and because of the "social district," walked them back to Milano's to enjoy with dinner.
Vegetarian options: It's a pizza place so there's lots of cheese.
Dietary restrictions: Ask about allergens.
Parking: Free parking on the street in downtown Oxford.
