“I gave it a 4 over all because my daughter ordered a pizza off the kids menu and they didn't have any pizza on a Tuesday during the lunch hour. This is fall break for most schools. But in all the food we all ordered was great and service was also ok.“

“Eaten here a few times. Food and staff always good. However tonight’s dining experience was lessened by a constant crying, whining, loud, fussing two or 3 year old little boy during our entire meal. His parents did nothing. The waitress even asked if he was ok, and the mother said he was just tired. 😳 Other patrons (and other wait staff) were visibly bothered as well and some asked for the manager. An entire room of paying patrons were subject to this. At what point does something need to be said or done?? We left as soon as we could - no dessert or anything. we did see the manager appear a few minutes before we left — so not sure if anything was said or done but totally disappointed the parents lacked any sense or common courtesy to their surroundings — this wasn’t McDonalds. We brought half our food home. Wish management would’ve/could’ve done something sooner. Not the kid’s fault. This was a total failure on the parents. Unreal. Still a great place to eat but we’ll leave much sooner if this happens again.“

It is a small, understated environment, on the scale between casual and elegant, leaning toward casual but with linen tablecloths and napkins, a very respectable wine list (both by-the-glass and bottles), and superb food and service. It has the feel of a neighborhood spot, but it clearly draws from well outside Dilworth. All the dishes are excellent. Best chicken parmesan in Charlotte. Portions are generous. We've always gone for dinner, but they also have a lunch menu. Pretty easy to walk-in during the week, but you should reserve a table on the weekends. We love this place!“

My wife and I ordered the tomato bruschetta for a starter. One of the best bruschetta's I've every enjoyed. The plate is served with four large pieces and given the size I think it may be a bit much for two as a starter but that didn't stop us. For entrees I enjoyed the gnocchi and my wife ordered pappardelle with mushrooms and cream sauce. My gnocchi was good but my wife's pappardelle was excellent. The meatiness of the mushrooms and the pappardelle noodles were filling and the cream cause was very flavorful. My gnocchi was equally as flavorful with a pesto sauce but I enjoyed the meatiness of the mushrooms in my wife's dish much more.

The two disappointments were the tiramisu we ordered for desert and the price. My wife read where someone quoted that the restaurant claims this to be authentic and a recipe straight out of Italy. What we ordered was not (and I've been to Italy and eaten my fair share of tiramisu). Ours came out with a less than desirable presentation. The bottom have was a soggy mess. I feel like this was the last piece in a mass produced tray that was about to be thrown out. Given the price of the dish, and the rest of the food, this dish was unacceptable.

Lastly, the prices overall were a tad bit high. Given the area the restaurant is located, I get it. We ordered an app, two wines each, two entrees (both vegetarian) and the tiramisu and we were in for $180, a bit steep for Italian.“

“This restaurant transports you to a quint local spot in Italy. The vibe and the delicious food is absolutely amazing! We celebrated my birthday there and they gave me a card and ice cream! Wonderful service, food, and atmosphere all around!“

I went this past Saturday for The Queens Feast and once again I was not disappointed with service or the food. Did you talk to a manager while you were there about your issues? It takes a lot of humanity and courage to address issues in person & in real time. When you do, often a resolution can be found. Try it out the next time your disappointed. I understand reviewing a place for poor service, food, etc., but attacking a person by name is low class. Btw, who uses begrudgingly to write a review? Nice word but, seriously?“

“A mystery. Outstanding ambiance, looks and feels like nice casual cafes we ate at in Milan and Tuscany. Once inside can't believe it's in an outdoor mall in NC. Friendly service. Chicken marsala with mushrooms as good as it gets. Hearts of palm salad not on many menus but was delightful. The customers seemed to be enjoying a relaxed, quality dining experience without the pretense of a fancy place or buzz of a large busy place. The mystery-why was it only half full on a Friday night?“

“Great food, great service, but if you’re a larger party and are seated in the enclosed patio area, take heed that it will be extremely uncomfortable with the summer heat. They only have a couple of small portable fans that are absolutely inadequate for the total space, and the ceiling fans (supposedly set to the incorrect direction) didn’t help much. Even the dining room wasn’t much better. I know it’s been hot, but if the customer is uncomfortable I can only imagine the staff.“

“This was the best meal I’ve had in Charlotte, period. I don’t usually eat at Italian places because most are using dried pasta and I don’t feel like paying $20 for something I can do at home. Not so here- I WATCHED the staff in the window making tortellini by HAND. IMO, fresh pasta is the only way to go!

Party of 3- we had the Bolognese with pappardelle, crispy eggplant parmesan, smoked salmon avocado toast, and the hot honey prosciutto pizza. Every dish hit the mark. Service was excellent, and it wasn’t loud like some places are when they get busy. So much on the menu I want to go back and try!!!“

“I posted before that we would not eat in here because of a waitress named Lana. She couldn't keep her hands off my husband. With that being said. We went to place a order to go tonight. We noticed no Lana. (Made my day). Our waitress was Donna which is the sister of our favorite bartender, Marsha. Who no longer works there. Bad bad loss for them. Donna did an amazing job. The young guy behind the bar did a so so job.“

“I recently visited Mario’s Pizza, and I was impressed! The atmosphere was inviting and the restaurant was very clean. The staff provided excellent service (Alyssa) making sure our meal was enjoyable from start to finish.

The food was delicious. We tried a veggie pizza topped with a generous amount of fresh vegetables, including olives, green peppers, and red onions. The crust was crisp, and the flavors were well balanced. We also ordered a tortellini dish with broccoli, which was tasty as well as a classic ziti with marinara sauce that was rich and comforting.

Parking was easy to find, and overall, the experience was fantastic. Highly recommend this spot for anyone craving quality pizza and Italian dishes!“

We made delicious, authentic Italian dishes using fresh, high-quality ingredients. Guido Lombardi, owner of Impero Wine Distributors, was also present, suggesting and sharing wines that perfectly complemented the dishes we prepared. It added a wonderful touch to the evening. The market itself has an amazing selection of take and bake options, perfect for a gourmet meal at home. “We’ve been picking up from Sal’s several times the past couple of months. We drive around 20-25 minutes. The Stromboli and selection of pizzas are worth it. We lived in Philadelphia and had lots of great pizza places there…this is as close to great northern pizza around the area and we’ve been here 32 years.“
