It was our first visit, but it will definitely not be our last. We arrived for a family reunion and wanted a comfortable place to hang out with our family members. Since we were staying at the same hotel, we decided to take a chance on eating in the lobby. I thought it was going to be just “meh,” but boy was I wrong. The service was outstanding and the food & drinks... amazing! Everyone made us feel like we were the only ones in the room. Well done!
Wonderful venue with a picturesque view. Unique offerings, that is why we went. Avocado Lab bites and the Fritto Science mix were delicious! But it got better....Penne a la Pyro, Atomic Braised Short Rib and the Short Rib Toast Melt were devoured. We were disappointed there was no room for dessert. Looking forward to coming back. I was a pleasure to spend our evening with Jayonna and the rest of the staff.
One person working 4th July covering tables and the bar, because someone called in sick. We got sat down place our drink order and she never came back. We waited a half hour for our drinks and left instead of waiting any longer. Too bad, I was ready to spend some $$$. If you are staying during a holiday weekend make sure you bring food with you or maybe ordering online will be ok. The resturants around town were mostly closed. Flask & Beaker offers quick and friendly service, making it an ideal choice for a convenient meal. The restaurant has a warm and welcoming atmosphere, with attentive staff. The menu features a selection of dishes, and the food was great with large portions for the price. The calamari, salmon and brussel sprouts received high praise. The ladies in the dining area were delightful. The place was bright and clean, with subtle NCSU items around. There are 2 outdoor firepit areas great for enjoying a cocktail after dinner. The mocktails were liked by kids, and the Mac and Cheese was great. Some burgers were overdone. The restaurant also offers excellent drinks, with a bartender who makes the best drinks. Flask & Beaker is a decent option for a casual meal, with a friendly atmosphere and quality service making it a place worth visiting.
