“This was our first time checking this place out! Loved that there were options for everyone and the seafood boil was delicious! Our waitress was very attentive and kept checking in on us and had refills out to us before our glasses were empty. I believe it was manager or another waiter helping out since they had a large group and he also checked in on us as well. Good service on a Tuesday night usually is hard to come by but the crew that was there tonight did a phenomenal job!“

“The Depot on First has been open since October 2023 and since then has simply excelled as the only fine dining restaurant in the area. I think much of their success is based on the fact they not only maintain consistency in areas such as attention to detail, exceptional customer service and quality culinary experience, they also continue to evolve and adapt to changing tastes, trends, and customer preferences. I enjoy seeing their ongoing tasting and intimate dining events, of which I will have to attend at some point. Another cornerstone of success for many restaurant's is Authenticity, and this Farm-to-table restaurant continues to prioritize authenticity by sourcing quality ingredients directly from local farms and producers. They don't take any shortcuts when it comes to freshly prepared food to save time which is why I will wait patiently in the elegantly decorated intimate, warm and inviting dining room for my entree upon every visit. No Rush! Just me bring me another perfectly prepared old fashioned. Don't hesitate to step outside of the box and try something new on the menu, I am not a fan of porkchops, but I have become a fan of theirs. This is an environment that will put a smile on your face, Ben and staff are simply exceptional, every visit feels like coming home to dinner. “First, the address on TripAdvisor is not accurate. They have moved. The correct address is on their website. \nEven with the trip downtown and back to the restaurant which as it turned out was only a mile or so from our hotel, it was so worth it. For starters we had the creamy crab soup. It was indeed delicious. I told our server I was tempted to cancel our order and just get another bowl of soup. Fortunately, we didn’t. Our entree was a fried seafood basket consisting of shrimp, oyster’s, and flounder. It came with two sides and we got the hand cut fries and coleslaw. We also ordered a half order of hush puppies that came with honey butter. Everything was delicious. Cooked perfectly. The only thing we didn’t eat all of was the fries because there was a bunch of them. The half order of hush puppies was about a dozen and we brought a few home. They were indeed great. \nHighly recommend this place.“

“I usually don't write reviews. However, this place is a shocker to me. The food is always Great! But....What ever you do...do not order your food online!! If you order your food online and have a family emergency, you are not allowed to cancel the order or get a refund! I was told, "come pick up your food before you go to the hospital with your child. We don't like to waste food." Instead of them being empathetic, issuing a refund and giving the food that was prepared to staff member or server. DO NOT ORDER YOUR FOOD IN ADVANCE. Just be prepared!“

“Great place for fried fish and shrimp. Very clean place and great customer service.
Their lunch specials are very reasonable during the week and their lemonade is yummy.
Weekends we get the 10 piece whiting platter, fried shrimp, and their chicken wings. Yup you heard me right …their chicken wings are so good. We ask them to fry the French fries crispy and get mamba sauce to dip them in. Their hush puppies are good especially when you dip it in mamba sauce. Everything is tasty and I love the cornmeal crispiness of the fish, it’s great on the heat up the next day.
Their prices went up a little since the summer time, but that’s to be expected since they are popular and well..the economy.“

“My parents had been coming here since they opened years ago, and my mom and I try to come at least once a week still. The food is always amazing, not a single item I wouldn't recommend from the menu. The service is always amazing and food comes out quick. Never too long a wait even when it's packed. “Mayflower has been around for decades and the regional locations appear to have survived hard times like the pandemic. This location has friendly staff. The food is no frills seafood and it’s good. This is what we would call back in the day a fish house. The servings are good value too. Typically enough for 2 meals.“

“I had a great experience at Fat Boys Shack in Wake Forest, NC. The food was delicious, and the customer service was a 10/10 from the moment I walked in. My tenders were fried hard just the way I like them without even having to ask, which was a pleasant surprise. The lemonade was also very good and refreshing. The restaurant itself was clean and well kept. Shoutout to the manager on duty, Paige Terry, and employee Tiara Spence for providing excellent service and making the visit even better.
