“In a time where great food and great service is scarce, this place is a jewel. I chose this place to celebrate a family birthday based on a great word of mouth referral and the birthday girl loves Indian cuisine. The place is beautiful and clean inside! The atmosphere is upscale from decor to lighting. You relax when you walk in. Did I mention the cloth pressed napkins!! What? The music plus at a volume that adds to ambience but not annoyingly loud do you can’t hear each other talk. It is not too bright, but not too dark either. The food was prepare with attention to detail and tasted delicious. You can ask for no spice if you are not into Spicy food. The service is excellent. The servers don’t hover or intrude, but are right on time for your needs. As I mentioned, we celebrated a birthday. I brought a large cupcake and a candle and had it on the table before guests arrived. The server asked if he could plate it in the back for later. I was so happy for the offer. Later, he came out with this amazing long plate with happy birthday written on the plate in rainbow gorgeous writing. He even lite it as he approached the table. Then a happy birthday song began to play over their sound system! It was so thoughtful and added that specialness to the evening that is hard to find today in the service industry. Thank you so much!!!“
“Love this place. Love the fact that they have tables outside. Food is always fresh and superb. Great atmosphere for special celebrations. Servers seems to be well trained, attentat enough but at the same time not overly intrusive. The only disappointment is their desserts. We tried almost all of them, would not recommend any.“
“Came in for brunch. The hostess was welcoming and escorted us to the bar seating when we requested. The restaurant was clean. I love the black leather seating interior throughout. We met our bartender Steven.Steven is great! Very welcoming, engaging, professional, and did a fabulous job making recommendations.I enjoyed the Gumbo grits which did not look appetizing when they arrived but it was delicious. There was sauteed chicken, sausage, and pickled okra as well as an egg that I had on the side (i ultimately added to my gumbo). I love a savory breakfast bowl and this was just that. There was also an order of catfish by the other individual in my party along with eggs, and sausage. For dessert, we tried the Sinner Rolls which were a nice sweet treat. My cocktails were espresso Hendricks martini, French 75, and cranberry mimosa... What a time!Everything was great!Steven's cocktails were top-tier.I must add the restrooms have all the hygienic things for individuals to go out in the world on the go to conquer their day. I love this!“
“The food was incredible. The steak was as good as any I've eaten anywhere in the country. The Delmonico was cooked perfectly medium rare and seasoned perfectly as well. The atmosphere was great and the overall price is what you would expect for this quality of food. The gentleman who sat us was excellent. He was very friendly and when our server was stuck at another table was more than helpful in going over the menu and helping narrow down our selections. However, the female server that did end up helping us was simply not all that great. She barely smiled and was not warm at all. She didn't check on us enough and there were a couple times when we were absolutely waiting on her at the end of the meal, particularly to bring the check and then to pick it up for payment. It may sound picky but in a high end restaurant such as this the service needs to be exemplary. All in all it was a great experience and we would return, only with the hopes of working with a different server.“
“Great atmosphere, service, and food. All staff goes the extra mile starting from the hostess to the valet. It is pricey but so worth it. The food is fantastic with impeccable service. Free complementary valet. Be sure to tip they rely on it.Parking: Free complementary valet. Be sure to tip they rely on it.Wheelchair accessibility: Wide doors and walkways“
“I have previously visited these establishments, which are in the city of Orlando, but I thought this one had excellent treatment and attention and the food had a better flavor and texture. I always order the same dish because of its flavor and freshness and it is worth knowing and enjoy a good seafood meal, I recommend it.“
“Overall great place to eat, server was friendly and fantastic. One of the few places where I did not have to ask to have my leftovers boxed. She asked and then did it. I appreciate good service. Atmosphere was good, where we were seated was not quite the spot for a business conversation but it worked.“
“This place is interesting. It is kinda tricky to find. The food can be great, or not great. This time I had the swordfish. It was highly overcooked. The broccolini was highly undercooked, to the point that it could not be cut with a fork and a butter knife. The sauce was fairly bland. For seafood, I would not come back. Now.... With that said... The burgers. They looked, and smelled awesome. I wish I had ordered that, instead. This restaurant feels like it was something special a few years ago, and now it seems like they do not think they have to try, and that is a shame. It is a 3 star experience that could be way better, with a little effort. The Pink Venom was excellent.“
“This place is great, it's one of my favorites. The service I good. Their creamy risotto is super rich, and I have to have it every time. Seafood is offered in a variety of styles and price points, all well-cooked. It's quite popular, so reservations are good. I tend to see a lot of attractive late-middle-age couples as well as family groups there. They make several yummy signature cocktails, my favorite is the landed lemon-drop, but the wine list is a little ho-hum. Short and at the grocery store mid level, Kendall Jackson, that sort of thing. It could be expanded, I bet it would sell there. The creme brulee is everything;) Parking is a beast.“
“My family and I dined at Rey’s this past Saturday evening. It took almost an hour for our entrees to arrive at the table. Our beef and seafood entrees were just okay, nothing special. We were somewhat disappointed. Not what we would expect for the price point. Oh well.“
“Def. A modern Mexican place. Don't expect authentic Mexican but still good overall. The trio dip was a hit.Surf and turf burrito (with chicken) was good, it's a huge portion!Pork belly tacos were just okay. I would opt for something else. Atmosphere was fun, apps and drinks came out real fast“
“Best quality shrimp I have ever had in my long time in Raleigh. Very helpful and friendly staff who care about getting your order correct. I had requested to have a certain ingredient removed from a dish, and since that was not possible for that specific dish they immediately called me and helped me switch my order to a similar(and delicious) alternative dish without any hassle and without me having to place another order. They proactively refunded the difference of dish price for my order without me even having to ask. I was only picking up but I also noticed they have a nice bar with TVs as well as a pleasant atmosphere.Dietary restrictions: Plenty of delicious pescatarian options“
“We went here for dinner on a Monday night and it was quite busy! There was a wait time of around 15 minutes. Once we were seated, our order was taken quickly, and our food came out even quicker! I ordered the Fire-Roasted Chile Relleno and it was delicious. The portion size was perfect. My only complaint is that there are not many vegan dishes. There are plenty of vegetarian eats though. Overall, would definitely come here again!“
“Delicious Easter Sunday brunch. Great service, and the Easter brunch menu offerings were outstanding. My son's ribeye came to the table undercooked for rare, but the attentive manager making rounds saw the issue almost immediately and brought it back to the kitchen to be addressed. Proactive service!“
“Had the best meal ever, again! I'm never disappointed when I eat at J Alexanders. The wait was an hour, so we sat at the bar. Emily took care of us with another handsome (African-American) man (wish I would have gotten his name). They were both so attentive and detail oriented. I can't say enough about my favorites offerings... ThaiKai Salad, Steak and Frites (perfect temperature) and the Carrot Cake. The service and atmosphere are wonderful too but will take second place to the fabulous food.“
“If you are close to Raleigh and enjoy fried Calabash style seafood, you probably already know about this place. The food is great, the portions are HUGE easily enough for two healthy eaters to split. It gets really busy around lunch so plan accordingly but if you haven't been there, you REALLY should go.“
“Our server Ryan was great! We had reservations, but had a 30 minute delay in being seated because the previous guest were still there. Ryan was very apologetic and offered us free appetizers for the wait. He was very attentive to our table and provided great service throughout the entire dinner.“
“Excellent fresh made poke bowls. I love the build your own bowls! Fast, friendly service and reasonable prices. Free parking. Google Maps didn't take me to the right place though. It's right in between Hibachi 101 and the Navy Federal Credit Union.“
“Juan, our regular server, is awesome! If it weren’t for Juan we’d be at Saltgrass Seafood & Steak House, where the prices are better, the food is as good or better AND THEY SERVE BREAD! Nantucket has gotten greedy and skimpy, but we still go to see Juan!NANTUCKET GRILL, please start serving bread like the others do and like you once did many years ago.“
“The food and service are amazing. So many halal options, the food is cooked well and with care, and the front of house gentlemen are kind and helpful. The customers coming and going were happy and pleased with their experiences too. I will continue to come back.“
“The food is so good. It is well made and the flavors are robust. You get to choose your combinations for seafood which is nice. The dessert, I question, as I did not like it, but everything else including appetizers was good. Nice servers and greeters. Our food came quickly as well. The atmosphere is unique but nice. There is ample parking and it's free. Thanks for reading.“
“It’s nice to have personal hotspot in Raleigh finally without driving to cart or Morrisville. I ordered the Sichuan Mala hotpot, the broth was delicious and came with great assortment of hotpot items. The hotpot container came with alcohol lamp underneath to keep the soup warm the whole time while eating it, just need to be careful if you are with young children. The portion was great for one person, it can be shared with two if you order some side dishes. The interior was nice and clean, will definitely be back soon!“
“5 Stars ? ? , we love visiting this establishment. The facility and staff was sooooo good! Yes, it cost a few more dollars for some of the meals, but it's not out of the reach for budget-friendly families making some choices. The meal portions are large, in fact, more than I could eat in a setting. So, a take out box requested. You'll find the staff to be very knowledgeable and suggesting for the meals you may questions about. That's very helpful in selecting your favorite dish. ?! There's plenty of setting and privacy for those cozy moments ?. So go by, if you got that extra driver, there's a Bar too for those selective drinks. Just Don't Drink and Drive! Otherwise enjoy the day and stay Cool I would say. Be kind and leave a tip, your server would appreciate that. Just remember, everyone has got to make a living. We'll, I've got run for not. Thank you for your support. Follow me, your support is the greatest show of kindness. Check out my video and link in my profile. Have a good day. Be kind and hug someone close to you. Life is short and what you say to those you love ❤️ will go a long ways. Ciao my Friend! ❤️ ?Parking: Plenty of free spaces.Wheelchair accessibility: Yes. No problem ?“
“Seating at the Peddler is first come first serve so we got in line before the doors opened to guarantee we got seated in the first wave on a Saturday night. Definitely the best steakhouse in Raleigh and far superior than that overrated one further up Glenwood. The service is incredible and attentive. Had the ribeye with asparagus and the salad bar. Love having the steaks cut table side so you know exactly what you're getting. I make it a point to get here a few times a year. Definitely a real treat that I look forward to.“
“We went with family for Easter, and it was pretty good. I personally don't eat seafood, but everyone else thought it was really good and the portions were huge. I got the enchiladas, and they were really good. It came with a side of rice and lettuce, pico de gallo mix. My husband got the flautas and they're were really good as well. They didn't come with any other sides, tho. We also got a margarita flight, which was amazing. It came with 4 different types and fruit slices, too.“
“Nestled discreetly in the heart of Eastern Raleigh, Chuan Cafe is a culinary treasure waiting to be discovered. Situated conveniently close to the Alamo Drafthouse Cinema Raleigh on New Bern Avenue, this quaint eatery was recommended to me by my children, and I must say, it exceeded all expectations.Upon entering, I was enveloped in a wave of nostalgia, reminiscent of cherished memories from my childhood. The ambiance exudes simplicity and warmth, with an unassuming interior design that instantly puts one at ease. It's the kind of place where you feel like you've come home, even if it's your first visit. Now, let's talk about the food - simply put, it's phenomenal. Every dish on the menu is crafted with care and precision, resulting in flavors that dance on your palate and leave you craving for more. One standout dish that stole the show for me was the beef stew soup with noodles. From the moment it arrived at the table, I knew I was in for a treat. The aroma alone was enough to whet my appetite, but it was the first sip of the rich, flavorful broth that truly captured my heart. Each spoonful was a symphony of taste, with tender chunks of beef, perfectly cooked noodles, and an assortment of aromatic spices that left me utterly speechless. Even after I had finished every last drop, my mouth continued to water at the mere memory of its exquisite flavor. In addition to the beef stew soup, Chuan Cafe offers a diverse range of culinary delights to suit every palate. Whether you're in the mood for savory stir-fries, comforting noodle dishes, or tantalizing appetizers, there's something on the menu to satisfy every craving.Parking: The restaurant offers many parking spaces for its patrons.Wheelchair accessibility: It has reserved spaces for people with wheelchairs.“
“I would like to give this place a 4 star, but... I think that there is a time and place for everything. If you have an issue with an employee, how about dealing with it behind closed doors and not being rude to them in front of customers.Thank goodness the fish was fresh.Great job on cleaning the fish.“
“This food truck is phenomenal. When I tell you people are there waiting for them open. I'm talking about like five or six people just sitting outside the truck waiting on them to set up, and it was like 9am- 10am. I knew the food was going to be good then, lol. They definitely didn't come to disappoint. The Henny wings were bussin crunchy and juicy. Lord, my hamburger steak with broccoli cheese casserole and mac and cheese plate was looking like Sunday dinner!!!! It was enough for two people and was so delicious. I definitely recommend yall trying out this place.“
“Not quite the same menu as the Nashville location. Smaller choice selections but food still excellent. We had Dan as our server and he was very attentive. He gave us the space we needed for a business dinner but also was there at the appropriate times. Kept our drinks topped off.“
