“I don’t often write reviews. But after dining here I had to. This place is a solid 10/10 on all fronts. From the incredible (and generous) drinks, to the perfect chips and salsa, to the mouthwatering menu. Everything is delicious. Delicious doesn’t even begin to describe how good the food is here. Honestly I’m blown away. This has taken the #1 Mexican spot in Sanford and it’s not even close. Congratulations to all the employees and owners. Yall did it.“

“The food selection was good. It was more home style cooking, but some of it lacked seasoning/flavor. The chicken dumplings looked like no effort was made. The broccoli wasn’t impressive, neither was macaroni and cheese. However, the hush puppies were good and the fresh fries.

The shrimp and fried chicken was delicious, I must add. Their desserts tasted well also. Some foods you can tell were dedicated, and some neglected.

My server was ok, we needed refills, to go boxes and straws, so she forgot it all. This place is what it is, for the retirement age.

“This underappreciated little gem should be talked about more. We started going there during COVID and although they have a beautiful dining room, they have primarily perfected their to-go/pick-up service. The food is really good - better than most here in Sanford. They have some really amazing dishes and some that assume would be good but contain so much sugar that it hides the good flavors. The womain who is there most of the time is always nice and super efficient. Whenever I'm there to pick up food or we're sitting in the dining room they always seem to be busy with to-go orders. The dining room is comfortable and the lady is very attentive. All orders are served in to-go containers so cleanup is a breeze and you can take anything you want to-go that you don't eat. Most of the time we take leftovers - the portions are really big and the food is just sooo good! Can't wait to place our next order and get special Thank You donuts!“

“We had an amazing lunch at this restaurant for the first time two days ago. I opted for the Chicken Fundito. The portion was freshly prepared, big enough for a second meal, and just as good warmed up as it was hot and steaming from the kitchen. We were greeted as soon as we walked through the door, and service was absolutely amazing. We spoke with the wife (owner) to ask about the amazing fresh chili de arbol salsa that the serve, to find out what ingredients went into it. It was very hot, but it sneaks up and builds without being so overwhelming that you tear up, or blow smoke out of your ears, well balanced and just enough salt to enhance the flavor without overpowering it! I could go on and on about the things that I love about their food. It's not just typical Tijuana Mexican food, or general Tex-Mex, it's something much more special and uniquely authentic.“
