Go to for date night. Not alot of places with this kind of atmosphere in a small town. Probably one of the Bougiest places in town. You won't get this environment at Texas Longhorns, or Outback steakhouse... pretty sure that's the point.
This was my first time here at the local restaurant. The service was phenomenal. I loved the bar-lounge area. It reminded me of a late 80’s-90’s bar. I had a lemon drop martini, which was too sweet for my liking. A double shot of tequila worked best. Additionally, the steak lacked a bit of seasoning. Dinner includes ribeye steak, medium well with asparagus, a cowboy steak, loaded baked potato, and a double shot of whiskey.

The Flame is an icon of a steakhouse in this town. I grew up here but left over 4 decades ago for a career that took me to the NY suburbs for decades. The Flame still has the ambience and great food that Pokey created so long ago. My only gripes are that they aren't open every night, just a few days each weekend, and they do not offer the splendid salad bar they once did.
