“Every time my wife and I come to Salisbury we dine at Mambo Grill. The experience, food and our hostess Gisselle C. are worth more than five stars.
On 22 Nov @ 17:37 we arrived for dinner. We ordered two Chicken Hemingway and for desert the Coconut Flan. Both entrees were very delicious. But our hostess recommended what is called Mariquitas. An appetizer we have never tried. It was the talk on our table with Gisselle C as she recommended the dish.
Two thumbs up for our hostess and the same to the restaurant for taking the time with us and making sure our experience is always positive and worth of a great review. Gisselle, you are the best!“

“We enjoyed the pulled pork, hush puppies, slaw, a breakfast spread with eggs, bacon, potatoes hash, pancakes, and a hot dog - Carolina style. Restaurants was packed full on a Sunday at 10:30 AM. No wait, really friendly staff, clean area & restrooms. Sweet tea was on-point. Prices very reasonable. Eastern Carolina Vinegar BBQ 'Sauce' was delicious, with a sweet vinegar heat, perfectly balanced for the pulled pork.“

“We love it here! Service is fast and friendly! We usually go for breakfast. The portions are HUGE so come hungry. Always yummy. The Livermush is extra crispy, the grits are the best we have ever had, perfect delicious texture, not soupy like some and the omelets are amazing.
Casual seat yourself and cool 50's atmosphere inside. We drive 30 minutes and it always worth it!!“

“I grew up in Salisbury and lived there well into my adulthood. I live in Columbia, SC now but when I come back to town to visit my Mom, one of my favorite places to eat is at Checkered Flag. They’re food is really good but the hard working ladies who serve the customers is what makes it great. They take the time to talk to every customer at every table and it’s not just chit chat. They really want to know how you are and what they can do for you to make your visit perfect. They treat everyone like family but for those of us who come back again and again, we become family. Even for me, an out of towner, I even know two of the hard working ladies, Angela and Jen. Angela showed her hard working team spirit yesterday when, Jen, our server, was tied up with her other tables. Angela stepped in and took our order until Jen could get back over to us. This example of teamwork becomes contagious and I’m sure that Jen has done the same thing for Angela and all of her co-workers. Jen is such a joy to be around. Her personality oozes charisma and warmth and she makes you feel truly special because that is who she is!! I heartily recommend Checkered Flag for their great food and and their even greater people!! I rate them 5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ and 5 hearts!! ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️“

“I have never in my life gone through a drive thru that gave me a better experience than Chick-Fil-a until today!!! I am also someone who doesn’t typically leave a review but my experience was so wonderful I felt like this particular location needed a rave review. The woman taking my order was beyond great in customer service skills. She was friendly, cheerful, and thorough about making sure she got my order correctly. She used the “suggestive selling” which is so great for a business. I intentionally asked her name in order to name her in this review. Sondra, thank you! My food was also received in a timely manner and was fresh. Seems like the manager of this establishment is doing a great job to have such a great crew.“

“I had some problems ordering through Uber eats and my order wasn't delivered the first time due to an address error so I called the store and a lady named Olga answered all my questions and was super helpful in making sure I was able to get my refund and even helped me reorder and made sure to get the intended address for the delivery.
