“We have eaten at Smoke Pit before in a different location and love the food. However, my family thought the food was better at this location (Concord location). The burnt ends are amazing and portions very generous (you get your money's worth here!!). My family got the burnt ends spud, pork plate, burnt ends sandwich, and the burnt ends plate (can you tell we like burnt ends?). The BBQ is top notch and the sides are just as amazing. The service at this location was a perfect 10. Super appreciated the atmosphere at this place. We came in late not realizing it was close to closing time and realized it after we were served and front doors were being locked. We asked a server what time they closed and he was super polite and told us 8pm (it was 8:06). He said, "you're good, enjoy your food!" with a genuine smile. Then a very elderly gentleman came in through the unlocked exit door and the manager explained they were closed but ended up serving this gentleman as well. Special shout out to Mike the manager for being so kind with the customers as well as the staff. He was obviously working hard and serving dual roles running register, serving food, directing staff all while being pleasant to everyone and handling things with grace. Truly appreciate the atmosphere and staff at this restaurant and highly recommend you stop by and enjoy it yourself. We're a hour away from this location but I think it's worth the drive to revisit!“

“We went on Friday morning around 10. It was packed and people waiting in line. We only had to wait about 15 minutes. I figured service would be slow since every table was full. I was pleasantly surprised that the service was exceptional. The food was also exceptional. We had omelettes with home fries. The home fries were out of this world. Best place for breakfast I've ever been to. We are going back next week.“

“If you want New York style pizza made to order, this is the place. The dough is so delicious and fresh. The Long Island jumbo wings are amazing as well. Everything came to my table nice and hot. The service was pleasant and the owner is so nice. I’ll be back!“

“The parking lot was packed 30 min after they opened but surprisingly we got seated right away. I had the filet mignon which was so tender,cooked perfectly,just amazing. There wasn't a bad thing that any of us ordered. My mom had the pork chops and I can honestly say I've never tasted a pork chop so tender in my entire life!“

“Stopped here on my way home to Greensboro from Charlotte. Ordered 2 appetizers (pulled pork egg rolls & tator tots topped w/ their DE-licious beef brisket) and they were good sized portions. The tator tots were my absolute favorite! My new favorite bbq spot!!“

“This place is horrible. the sauce on the pizza taste like that sauce from canned chef boy r d ravioli. The cheese is... well im not sure what the "cheese" is. I got a giant cookie that looked like burnt plastic and tasted worse. I got 2 slices and we were on our way to a game so we asked for a box and they said no. They have better pizza at the QT Gas station. I will never go back here!!! I also don't know why it says I recommend this place cause I certainly do NOT!“

“Came up to try Lake Todd Saturday 2/21/26 and have to say it was worth our 40 minute drive. I had the catfish and green shrimp and both were fresh and cooked right! Husband had the flounder and green shrimp and he too was happy. Plenty of food for a good reasonable price. Not crazy about the fries, but it seems to be the kind a lot of places are using but everything else was delicious, especially that red slaw. Small old time country place, with plenty of old nostalgic decor to look at while wait. The staff was friendly, accommodating and made sure you are happy!“

“Wow! We've eaten here before but it's been a while. Very impressed. Friendly waitress (Makenzie), I had the 2 meat platter - ribs and smoked turkey (or you can get 3) with 2 sides and hush puppies. The ribs were fantastic! Moist (yes,I said moist) and flavorful. Some for the best baby back ribs I've ever eaten!! The smoked turkey breast was served in aluminum foil and guess what -- it was moist too! Baked beans were saucy with bits of BBQ meat mixed in. Mashed potatoes had bits of skin mixed in. Cornbread and hush puppies were good. Husband had the 1/4 chicken and ribs. I love where this place is located - close off 85. I don't have to fight Bruton Blvd/Charlotte traffic. They have a train that circles a track attached to the ceiling 🚂- very cute. They do have a senior/child's menu. We will definitely be back.“

It should be mentioned that I am a 40-minute drive to get to the restaurant... “Just left after having my birthday dinner there. Yup, that’s my top choice around. Where else can you find gluten free General Tso’s chicken and it is amazing! Lots of gluten free options/ healthier options and ingredients. As a 15 year fitness professional I appreciate that! Best part though was when we got the hostess to come over and have some of my birthday cake we brought though! Was slightly a trip that she was clearly Italian as well. “Some of the cashier's have bad attitudes and the Hispanic waitress has a bad attitude she pick and choose who she wants to assist at the table and expects a tip I am big on tipping if the service and food is good. Some days you go and the food is delicious and some days the chicken is salty and dry and not to mention the fish.They need the old cooks and workers back that when the food was delicious.
