“Went to Pisgah brewery out in Swannanoa for a concert where pigeons played ping-pong was the band. I had 2 of the pulled brisket sandwiches with a Side of French fry’s for each of them. It was all very good. The food truck for Mountain View Barbecue and Deli was there.“

“Loved the atmosphere...memorabilia covers the walls, and the wife and I were tripping down memory lane as we saw various artifacts. The woman serving us was a delight and served us a generous portion of quality ice cream...which is all we had. Can't comment about the rest of the menu, but we thoroughly enjoyed every waffle cone dripping and licking moment of the ice cream.“

“Green River BBQ is one of those places where it’s hard to decide what to order because there are so many great options. The smoked chicken and smoked turkey are two of my favorites, and the turkey salad is fantastic. The ribs are incredibly meaty, and if you’re lucky enough to be there during the winter, don’t miss the weekly smoked prime rib. It is perfectly smoked and absolutely worth planning around!
But as good as the food is, the best part of Green River BBQ is the people. Tom and Bri have created something that goes far beyond a restaurant—they’ve built an amazing community. It genuinely feels like home.
Ashley, Gabby, Jess, and the rest of the crew always make you feel welcome, whether it’s your first visit or your hundredth. And Ali is an amazing bartender and manager. She clearly loves her customers, loves what she does, and it shows.
Great BBQ will get you through the door. Great people are what keep you coming back. Green River BBQ has both.“
