“We came to Sapphire NC for a visit from Atlanta Ga! We ate at Mica’s twice in 4 days that we spent here! Food was amazing both times ! Staff was incredible not only in service but the way they worked together was great as well ! Highly recommend !!“

“Elegant dining in fabulous lake view location. have a drink at beautiful Inn bar or sit outside and enjoy view. Food is great, pricey. Really nice wine selection. Great spot for a special occasion. One of few places you can get dressed up for a nice evening or clubwear.“

“We had a wonderful time hosting a wedding rehearsal dinner for our son and his bride at Happs Place. The food was delicious, reasonably priced, and the menu options perfect for the event. The service was efficient, polite, and on-time. We also had an afternoon lunch in the back where there is a putting green and other activities outside the bar. Dereck and his team are real pros. This place is a treasure and highly recommended.“

“Great large indoor and outdoor area that is pet friendly. We tried a few beers that were good, not spectacular but good. We had the Brussels (really good!) and the smash burger (okay). We got to be out for the eclipse which was awesome after a great local hike as well. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area.“

“We stopped into the Panther Cafe for a late lunch today. It was absolutely delicious. I chose the BLT with fries. It was the perfect southern bacon, lettuce, and tomato sandwich. The bread was toasted to perfection, the bacon was crispy, the veggies were fresh, and it was topped off with just the right amount of Duke's mayonnaise! My fries were hot and crispy. The little restaurant is quaint - made of large logs, with a vaulted ceiling, and gorgeous hardwood floors. The seating area is an eclectic blend of mismatched farmhouse tables. Our waitress was extremely pleasant and efficient. If you're looking for casual food done well, this is the perfect little restaurant.“

“Cashiers offers a number of good restaurants, though some may be closed in the off season. If you don't want to drive to Brevard Cashiers has options. The Ugly Dog pub is a great choice. Good food served fast. The place was not crowded in March. The manager made the rounds to check on us. My wife needed gluten free. They don't have GF bread ? but they offered to give her the sandwich on the plate, no bun. They have a full bar with two big screen TV's over the bar. If you are in the area and don't want a chain restaurant, it's a good option.“
