“We came to Sapphire NC for a visit from Atlanta Ga! We ate at Mica’s twice in 4 days that we spent here! Food was amazing both times ! Staff was incredible not only in service but the way they worked together was great as well ! Highly recommend !!“

“This was our second time dining at Canyon Kitchen and we had a absolutely great evening. I had called late into our trip to the Sapphire Valley area and was able to get a late reservation on Sunday @ 7:30. I called earlier that day and was able to take advantage of a cancellation for a 6:00 reservation after a call back from their very thoughtful manager Robie. He went out of his way to make our visit special once again. It's always a great idea to show up at least 30 min early in time to view the sunset on the lawn. The views with a cocktail in hand while strolling on the lawn, lounging in an Adirondack chair, or standing at a high top bar table is surely a special experience. It's always a friendly crowd in a great mood if you want to meet some new folks having a good time. The outside bar is well equipped and serves up craft cocktails, beer and wine. The bartenders seemed to be quite disinterested in the same high level of customer service that the servers have. I suppose the automatic 20% gratuity, which I'm never a fan of, and normally exceed, don't provide much incentive which was a bit obvious. Our dinner server Sarah however was amazing and brought things back to our amazing experience at this gem. She recommended the MS Catfish which was crispy and delicious. My wife had the Cheerwine short ribs and they also were good. We spit a Romain wedge and it was just the right amount. Broccoli au Gratin as our shared side was also very good. We love the Canyon Kitchen and it's a must do spot in the area for a great fine dining experience.“

“My partner came here some time ago and mentioned that there was a BBQ place near the famer's market. We decided to go one weekend to visit Highlands and Cashiers. I thought the fact that you get chips, a side, AND a beverage on top of getting a sandwich was an amazing deal. I ordered the BBQ pork sandwich with the market sweet BBQ sauce. I got macaroni and cheese as my side, regular Lays potato chips as my chips, and a water bottle as my beverage. Side note, the Coca-Cola cooler was so nice to grab our drinks from! We ordered with no issues and our food was ready after a few minutes. They have a nice seating area a little ways away from the establishment, and we sat down outside and ate the food. WOW! It was really good. The pork was juicy and flavorful. The sauce was tangy and sweet, and they gave a lot of sauce! The macaroni and cheese was rich and savory. My partner got the baked potato salad as his side, and that was also incredibly delicious. I love a potato salad that has a sour cream undertone rather than a mustard one, and this one hit the spot. I would highly recommend checking this place out, it was awesome!“

“Absolutely the best restaurant in Cashiers. Best service and amazing farm to table cuisine. Great wine selection and cocktails. My favorite cocktail there is the dirty martini with blue cheese olives. Husband likes the chicken livers appetizer, which is a pretty large portion. I love the soups. Fresh bread and salads with entrees. The seafood pasta is delicious with a lemon blanc sauce. We have never had a bad meal at The Orchard. Make sure to request Joe for service and always make a reservation. As the restaurant is well known for its great food and service so it gets booked pretty quickly. Joe is a true gem. Love love this place.“

“If you’re looking for a great, consistently good restaurant with awesome food this is your place. The staff work very hard in this restaurant and they have no staff turnover. It’s very popular among locals. The portions are enormous and the food is so good. The day we were there Pamela was our waitress. Such a sweetheart. Also, they have the cutest coffee cups. I probably have an entire set by now. I buy one every time I go. The owner, who is the hostess, busboy and a waitress all in one is is a very hardworking nice person. There are all types of people who eat here. Also, please dont be that person who thinks they are superior to everyone else. Be respectful.“

“First time customers & I loved it! The service was awesome, fresh food with large portions. The food came under 15mins, consistent waiter checking on the table. Prices are reasonable. My only issue was the steel table; it had a smell of wet metal that was not pleasing. A tablecloth would be a better choice in my opinion. Will visit again for the wings & juicy burgers“
