“I drive past this spot several times a week, but had never tried it. We had a delicious dinner and enjoyed ourselves despite one obnoxiously loud patron (totally not the restaurant’s fault.) The flatbread was yummy and nicely plated and the breakfast burger was delightfully decadent. We really enjoyed the guitarist. The setting is pastoral, and I’m sure gorgeous in the Spring. Wine seemed a bit pricey. We will definitely try this place again.Vegetarian options: There were some vegetarian options.Kid-friendliness: I would not consider this place kid-friendly based on our first visit.“
“They were a little busy but many of the servers were chatting with tables and we were on a schedule of 2 hours and had to hurry up and eat the food because of this. The food was great will go back again and if the service is better next time I will change it to 5 stars.“

The food was excellent and the best we have had in a long time. The setting is beautiful! And we happened to be there on Thursday, where they offer a 20% discount for those who live locally.“
“We enjoyed our dinner. We were greeted as soon as we walked in. Our server was friendly and informative. The bartender came to our table to recommend our wine. He was so enthusiastic and knowledgable. We tried an Armenian wine and it was delicious.Our order included home made soup, wonderful, and several salads also fresh and tasty. Lamb burgers, Corsica burger and Mumbai were all excellent. Vegetarian options are available. The Bohemian will definitely be a new go to for us. The service was outstanding: John, who is also a bartender, and Chris, who was training under him, were fantastic. The square root salad with figs was superb, and the Brussels sprouts were delicious too. They exceeded expectations, and I was impressed by the service and quality.Ps. “Really great, friendly service. About $12 for a bowl with no drink. Left feeling full and good! The atmosphere is fine, comfortable enough, but definitely not anything special. The food is great, its diferent enough from Qdoba and Chipotle type places that it's a unique experience. They are famous for their burrito, but since I don't do gluten I got the "naked" burrito, basically a bowl, and it's layered with corn chips (very good ones) and then all the toppings of your choice. Outside seating available, inside tables and booths, a variety of drinks both fountain and bottled. Definitely worth a lunch stop! Again, great service- friendly, fast, funny.Dietary restrictions: The naked burrito is perfect for gluten/dairy/sugar restrictions“

“After a long morning of hiking, we were starving and so glad we found this place! It's a very small and cute diner and as soon as we walked in, we were welcomed by a very friendly staff and were seated right away. The first thing that caught my attention was their wide variety of food for being such a small place. I asked the waitress about their chicken salad sandwich and she was overly excited about how good it was so I had to give it a try. Perfect combination of mayonnaise and seasoning but they threw a little something different with some sweet chopped onions and it was phenomenal! I had never had chicken salad with onions but it really brought the sandwich together with their garden fresh tomatoes and just the right amount of lettuce. I paired it with their potato salad and wow it was great! My wife ordered the fried buffalo chicken and it was a massive pounded out chicken breast golden fried with a very good buffalo sauce on it. She had the sweet potato fries and they were thick and hand cut. My kids ordered burgers who both finished every bit and said they were really good. If you are near Dupont State Park and hungry you really have to stop by. We want to go back because they have so many items to choose from and everything looked great!“
“This mom & pop place had been on my radar for awhile, but today we decided to actually to try it. It's adorable and sits right on a little creek, so in good weather, it's a perfect place to eat. It's a little chilly today so we opted for inside. The staff is incredibly friendly, attentive and quick. They offer something for everyone, but my hubby and I chose subs. There are 3 different sizes to pick from, which is really nice! I had a 4" toasted roast beef/provolone that was full of meat and delicious. Hubby had 8" cold chicken salad that he said was tasty. (I wish I'd remembered to take food photos). It was a smidge pricy but worth it imo bc of the accommodating staff and ambiance. I highly recommend this cute place.“
“Had a great time stopping in for breakfast. If your not sure where to go, once I side just walk to the back and grab a table inside or on the back porch. It's very laid back. The biscuits and gravy were perfect and the atmosphere by the river relaxing. The general store on the way in is worth a look before hitting the road.“

“This is our one restaurant here in town that I can honestly say has some of the best food for the best prices. The other fast food restaurants are getting so expensive and alot less for your money. We ordered 7 items from here for $21.00 and NONE of them were a kid menu item and they dont have a dollar menu, but their prices are pretty great along w/food! When we go to one of the other fast food restaurants and order 3-4 items, we're already paying $15.00 and ... well you know what a fast food over greasy, barely any veges lol burger is like and you either get over salted fries or no salted fries ? . Cardinal, the burgers are thick w/tons of lettuce, tomatoes, whatever you ask, and the fries are just right. GIVE THEM A TRY ?“
“First time I've been there after passing the the restaurant for years... my wife and I decided to stop in and have a breakfast and we ever delighted by not only the quality of the food but also the portions served very generous... actually I would describe it as a great value... deserving staff is exceedingly friendly the atmosphere is very calming and the overall restaurant is very clean and neat... needless to say we plan on returning often for breakfast and even perhaps lunch at some time in the future... I would give this restaurant a five star out of five star rating... do yourself a favor and stop in for at least the breakfast you'll be pleasantly surprised!“

“The food was so delicious very flavorful huge portions. The service not so great when we got there we told the host there was 3 of us she said it was a 35 min. Wait there were so many empty tables but we said ok that's fine and she acted like she got mad that we wanted to wait. When we finally got called to our table our waitress seemed nice enough. She began taking our order and I guess she assumed we were done because in the middle of us ordering she just walked away and my husband had to literally get up from our table and go over to her at the register and finish giving her our order. Atmosphere wise it was me my husband and our 11 year old son. We noticed they were seating all the families with kids on the side away from the bar but we got put on the side in the bar. The whole time we listened to 3 drunk guys ramble on about how Trump needs to be relected to finish the wall. Many curse words later dinner was over and we were out of there.“
“Found myself close by at 5:00, wife told me to bring dinner home. Hadn’t been to Hawg Wild in several years but was counting on it being as good as I remembered. Walked in and ordered takeout. Ladies at the counter were pleasant, helpful and quickly took mt order. Within 10 minutes, had my order and was on my way home, about 30 minutes away. Got home home, food was as good as I remembered , ladies recommendations were on the money and my wife and I were very satisfied. Can’t wait until I’m in Pisgah Forest again at lunch or dinner time.“
