“We were warmly welcomed in as soon as our feet crossed the threshold. The cashier asked if we had been there before and because we hadn't, proceeded to share the menu with us. The owner invited my 9 year old son over to watch him make blueberry rolls and struck up a conversation with him. We learned that the legacy roll recipe has been handed down through the family for 150 years and the business is run by him and his eldest son. I LOVE FAMILY BUSINESSES! There's pride in it and you can feel it in the atmosphere and taste it in the food. Ok, so now to the food. Historically, my son and husband always get a burger and fries, sweet tea and lemonade. They loved the sweet tea, and the lemonade tasted like fresh squeezed, not powdered mix.
The fries were fresh cut and tasted fantastic, even without ketchup! You know that's a good fry! My son said it was the best burger he's ever had and my husband said it reminded him of Char-Grill's (which he loves and is always eager to get when we head way out of town). I ordered the 3 slider set with catfish, pork belly and hamburger. My goodness...the catfish was juicy and delicious, as was the pork belly and shockingly I liked them better than the hamburger (which I also really liked)! The toppings and sauces paired with each were spot on as well. To-go, we snagged a cinnamon roll and blueberry roll, which were both good.
The legacy rolls, the base of everything, are light, fluffy and just great! I really can't say enough good about this place.
We are all excited to go back the next chance we get! It's a hidden gem in Spring Lake.”

“Stopped by for some tacos and that’s exactly what I got. Nothing over the top, but solid, fresh, and hit the spot when you just want something quick and easy. Service was smooth and food came out fast. Not a “special occasion” type place, but definitely good for a casual taco stop. I’d come back.”

“Pyrates is the place to where you can have a great time or just chill on a bar stool while playing some pool. Also Where the owner great everyone who walks in with a welcoming smile. Plus Pyrates has great friendly bartenders that know what they are doing and great support staff. Last but not least the DJ that keeps the good vibes rolling.”

“I’ve lived by the phrase nothing compares to Chinese food in your hometown. I’ve tried numerous places since moving away almost 15 years ago. None of them stack up. This was our 3rd time trying Jin Jin and each time it is so delicious. I was skeptical to try the crab Rangoon thinking they wouldn’t measure up to my childhood favorite. Let me tell you they are phenomenal and remind me so much of home. I will continue to give Jin Jin our business. Not only is the food wonderful, ordering online is a breeze, portions are well worth the money and the staff is so friendly and kind. There is something on the menu for everyone(including those who are particularly picky like my children) Give this place a try! You will not be disappointed.”
