“A hidden coffee gem with chic atmosphere and natural lighting. On a Monday morning, I strolled in with only one person inside. So it was quiet. The owner has a kind hearted soul. She was helpful on a difficult order I had for someone else. There’s ‘Coffee of the week’ which I will try next time I’m in town. If you are a Chai guru - this is a great place to get your fix.The bakery display was full with a few options to choose from. The coffee stationary was clean, organize and there’s a sign that says ‘no straws’ (save them fishes and sea animals)“
“Swank is my favorite amongst the many wonderful coffee shops in town! The staff is so friendly and always brighten my day. The coffee tastes amazing and I try to talk myself out of a scone every visit, which seldom actually works because they taste so yummy! My little doggy likes to come in sometimes for a pup cup too.“
“We just had our first cups of coffee and matcha at Pony Espresso this morning — having literally moved to the area just yesterday evening! I had left my matcha at the old place so hubby ran out here to get me a cup of matcha and his go-to, salted caramel flavored latte. The barista suggested enthusiastically — “do you want to add some strawberry in your matcha?!” He brought home this cup of strawberry matcha to me — and WOW! The taste takes me back to one of our strawberry-picking dates in a beautiful field of North Carolina strawberries on a sunny day last season. (He also explained that Pony Espresso uses all-organic ingredients and uses sustainable/recyclable materials wherever possible. Plus!) What a way to start this new day and our new chapter here in Southern Pines! ?“
“Very impressed! ? Such a great early morning stop for excellent (actually beyond excellent) lattes. My husband texted after two sips: THIS COFFEE IS SO GOOD!We’re a bit of coffee aficionados and getting quality coffee on the road can be difficult—so we were glad to find this gem! Started our trip back north on an excellent foot. Breakfast sandwiches were great and cheese danish was WOW! ? so good!“
“This has quickly become my go-to place. The ladies are always friendly, provide incredible service, and work quickly. The best London-Fog I've had...nearly every visit. The atmosphere is light, welcoming, and always clean. My only complaint is being unable to get my tea when on night shift...3am would be much better with a Pine Scone visit.“
“My favorite coffee spot. They roast their own beans and the result is the best tasting coffee and espresso drinks in the Pines. Their beans also have more than the usual amount of caffeine, which is awesome in my book. They only take cash or check, so plan ahead. It's worth the effort if you're a serious coffee drinker like I am. There is also a really peaceful ambiance about the location that makes you want to sit down and enjoy the day. If the weather is cooperating, stay and enjoy your coffee in the outside seating area.“
“Such a cute and cozy spot! My friend and I were looking for a nice coffee shop to go to and this was a sweet surprise! Frankie was wonderful and fun to talk to, the coffee was excellent and we got to just relax, chat and crochet. Definitely will be returning!“
“Love this place! Small town coffee shop with plenty of parking (lots of space for my campervan). Spent 4 hours here while my dog was being groomed at Five Points Pet Resort 3 miles away. Great food, coffee, and friendly service. Also enjoyed listening to K-Love. Got a lot of work done on my laptop during the 4 hours.“
