We live about 45 minutes away but my daughter in law works nearby so for all of our birthday she treats us with a cupcake from here. Thankfully my birthday was yesterday so I’m enjoying a delicious birthday cupcake right now! Cupcakes are not an item I ever chose to order or eat HOWEVER, when it comes from here, I can’t resist! Something about the cake/icing flavor combos are unmatched!!!!!! “The baked goods are house made and very good. They use Counter Culture coffee and I’m not a huge fan of fruity coffees. This bakery does ‘Amish style’ baked goods so I was really looking forward to trying them but also peeking inside of their culture a bit while in the store. Although the staff is friendly, no one seemed to explain the menu items, greet customers, and so forth. Even though the owners were there, they didn’t engage with customers or create the sense of community I thought they would have. The food is good, but the atmosphere is a little uncertain and uncomfortable, esp if you’re by yourself. I recommend this place to try, but it’s no where I would go twice.“

As a vegetarian I typically only have a few things to choose from when it comes to eating out, but Salem Kitchen had sooo many options to choose from that I could take home and bake! The young woman helping me at the counter was an absolute GEM- I wish I had gotten her name (she wears glasses and has a Studio Ghibli tattoo like me!) I let her know I was a vegetarian and she showed me an entire section of their menu that was meat free! There are so many sides and desserts as well that looked absolutely delicious. “I've been coming to Flower's Bakery for years. The bread is fresh and much less expensive from the grocery. Today, I brought a loaf of Nature's Own SF bread , mini donuts, and a box of snack cakes ($1.50 each). It was less than $5, or about what I would spend for a bread loaf at the grocery. They often have holiday themed items that are hard to find. I saw fruit cake, pumpkin spice donuts, and popcorn balls, to name a few.“

“I visited Camino which was a short walk away from my hotel and perfect for a cup of coffee. This place was clean, with a ton of character and efficient staff. It was also crowded with what I assume are loyal customers. Overall, Camino is a refreshing departure from big chain coffee shops.“

“Service was excellent! Autumn spice mile was perfect and not too sweet! Matcha was made well. Paradise peach iced tea was refreshing. We had the tarts de Santiago, mixed berry danish, almond horn, and the death by chocolate brownie and all were exceptionally well made. The tarte and brownie were gf and both were amazing! We had someone in a wheelchair and easily got her in and there was room inside as well while being easy to navigate.“

“I had such a pleasant experience for my first time as an adult here. We were immediately greeted, told about the history of the house and its original functionality and how it was evolved over time. The woman who greeted us gave us direction of how to walk through the two floors and where the baked goods, kitchen, and gift shop were located without me having to ask any questions. “Ordered via GrubHub to get my cake fix during our stay-at-home order. We had the golden chocolate, strawberry layer, and pineapple coconut. Gah it was all so delicious. I didn’t expect much of the strawberry layer, but it might have been my favorite. Such great flavor.“

“Nice cakes. Basically a cake place like for birthday parties. But I was very disappointed Because I was hoping that they were going to have A window display of delicious tasting desserts.
But all they have are cakes... I think I got spoiled in miami with the cuban bakeries that have such A delicious variety of cakes and desserts. And so when I went there I was hoping it was gonna be like that. I just picked the cake up for a friend.And I didn't taste the cake... “Best homemade Hummingbird cake I have ever ate. You can tell it is has everything fresh in it. The fruit to the fresh pecans and spices oh and that homemade cream cheese buttercream icing is out of this world good. This is my place for good homemade fresh cakes from now on. Oh and the price is so good. 40.00 for a three layer. Everyone else charges around 60 to 70 dollars. The best customer service. If you come in they are right there to serve you and so friendly.
