“I visited this restaurant for the first time today, and let me just say—it did not disappoint! I’ve been craving red snapper and had been eyeing this spot for a while, always telling myself I’d stop in one day. Well, today I finally did, and I’m so glad I did! I ordered the red snapper meal with macaroni and cheese and pinto beans as my sides. When I tell you I almost bit my darn finger off… that’s how good the food was! Everything was seasoned perfectly, fresh, and full of flavor. That red snapper was divine—cooked just right and bursting with taste. I believe the young lady who helped me was named Kayla (at least that’s what my receipt), and she was absolutely lovely. She greeted me with a warm smile and was genuinely pleasant throughout my visit. The entire atmosphere was welcoming and comfortable. Funny enough, I joked with her and said, “I hope your food isn’t good,” because I knew if it was, I’d be coming back again and again. Well, guess what? I’m out of luck—because that food was so good! Big thanks to Kayla and the whole team. I’ll definitely be back!“

“My husband and I chose this restaurant out of many to go celebrate our anniversary on June 26th. The food was spectacular, service was exceptional in fact the whole experience was phenomenal. We told them jokingly that we were celebrating our anniversary and it was our first time there and how impressed we were with everything and they gave us a free strawberry shortcake dessert, which was so big and delicious we ate half there and brought half home. I highly recommend this restaurant. It's a bit small so you may want to make reservations, but it's worth it.“

“Stumbled upon this place in Reynolda Village and what a find. The food is outstanding! I had the Greek salad with grilled salmon; it was perfectly dressed and every bite was full of flavor including the grilled salmon with perfect char. Delicious! And raspberry sorbet for dessert because why not!?!

I was seated at the busy bar during Sunday brunch in front of the kitchen window. The entire staff, from bar tenders, servers, chefs, management etc, are all happy and respectful towards one another. The vibe of the staff says everything about the restaurant…almost as important as the food. It was busy to say the least but all staff were getting the hard work done and joking along the way. Refreshing to see.

“Stopped in by chance having past it 2 years ago while driving by. Today we decided to stop in for lunch on our way back to Ohio. Food was great, and great prices for a family of 6! Staff were absolutely fantastic, order came out correct and quickly!!! Highly recommend and we will be back each year! A great way to finish off our vacation.“

“Found this place by accident while waiting on my Dad at the VA. Me and my sister love a diner and local joint, so we had no second thoughts. We loved it!! The pancakes 🥞 were delicious 😋. They reminded us of when our mom used to make those buttery pancakes with the crispy edges. (Yummy). Service was quick and friendly. We will definitely be going back.“

“We had our wedding reception here. It was fabulous. The food was wonderful and the service was excellent. We had a lunch reception on a Saturday and the restaurant took care of all of the decorations. All we had to do was pick out the menu and show up.
In addition to the indoor seating the restaurant has an outdoor covered seating area. The plan was to use one area for hors d'oeuvres and the other for lunch and the restaurant would be able to choose which was best suited for which based on the weather that day. We ended up having lunch outdoors and it felt like a lovely picnic.
Our guests were talking for months about how the reception was a nice relaxing lunch that allowed people time to visit with each other as the service was so seamless that it never interfered with socialization.
The staff always kept an eye on my wife and I to make sure that we had anything we needed. She and I actually were able to sit down and have a full meal during the reception while still visiting with everyone!“

“I took my son here for his birthday on a Thursday. We were the only ones there which was fine, the staff was very nice and our waitress was very attentive. The food was great! I had the shrimp and grits and it was sooo good! My son had the chicken and waffles, mac n cheese, and yams. He loved it all and they gave plenty of food. “Love LJS! We only have this one near us. They were having some difficulty with their computer system when we were there. So we had a bit of a wait, and some waited longer than us. I truly love this place and WANT it to do well so it's not closed like the one in our town. But, LJS or the owner of this particular restaurant needs to give it some attention. The outside needs the area spruced up. The inside fairly well, but the cabinet door where ketchup and condiments were stored was hanging by 1 hinge. The employees were slow but focused on the orders on the system that had gone down. Glad to have this store, just want to keep it open.“

“They charged me 17.95 for a freaking strawberry lemon drop that taste like strawberry lemonade no alcohol tasted. Next time I will kindly ask for a 8-10 dollar mixed drink. I really could have cussed that bar tender out.“
