“Ordered delivery for my kids and myself tonight. First time trying 311 Tavern. Burger was delicious! Whoever works in the kitchen, by all means… make sure you keep them! 😂 Great portions. The chili on my burger was really good. Burger was seasoned perfectly 🤌 Plus it was huge. Can’t believe I ate the whole thing 🤣 My daughter got a burger and said it was very good! My son got an all beef hotdog and loved it. Definitely kid-approved! Will definitely eat here again! We’ll be trying the wings next time 🤩”

“I live near Milanod in Walnut Cove, and eat their food three times per month. It is so consistent. The all meat Stromboli is great. Pizza is solid too, thin or hand tossed crusts are good for me, meat lovers or whatever. Get 2 large one toppings and get a free bread stick order. The buffet is good, they have a chocolate dessert pizza; it is a nice way to finish of lunch on Sundag.”

“Not a place to dine in if you are looking for romance or a night out. HOWEVER! The take out is perfect. The dumplings were exceptional, fresh and a good serving. I ordered egg drop soup and it was spot on. No pets or carrots- exactly how I had hoped.
I only ordered appetizers to take home and eat since it was late for a big meal. But I'm sure to give them a try. It is a family run business. Supporting small local businesses in Walnut cove.”

“This is such a hidden gem in Walnut Cove and deserves to be more known! Food was flavorful and fresh- by FAR the best “American style” eatery in the area. Worth the drive over even if you’re up around Hanging Rock, looking for a meal. We had a delicious jalapeño burger and shrimp po boy and thoroughly enjoyed both. Also great drink specials! The service was also top tier with our new friend Atiya, she was awesome and truly cared about her customers! Best service we’ve had in awhile. On top of that they had karaoke going on! I was too shy to sing but maybe next time. ☺️ 100% would recommend this place to anyone in the area looking for a tasty meal. We live in the area and generally go to Winston Salem to eat out but it’s awesome to know we have this place close to home! It also just had a super good vibe and cool decor, “surf shack” style. We’ll definitely be back!”

“A young lady named Ashley is the best sandwich barista. I went a month ago, and ordered some sandwiches on line. They were made incorrectly and she gave me some of my money back (paid for double meat and wasn't on the sandwich). She went above and beyond. I tried a different location, once again they made my sandwiches incorrectly...but refuse to acknowledge that they made them wrong. I will NEVER go back to the other place. I will drive 20 mins away or more to get to the Walnut Cove Subways, if it means that Ms. Ashley will make sure my order is correct. She's one amazing employee. She definitely deserves a raise. She ALWAYS seems to be there whenever I'm ordering online or pop in.”

“The food is always fresh and The staff is incredibly pleasant when we visit in the mornings. Sometimes things get busy in the drive through, but that is bound to happen anyplace during breakfast, lunch, or dinner rushes. The staff is always apologetic, but usually quick to rectify the situation. Overall, its the staff that we are most impressed with.”

“Decided to drive to the Seafood Shack from VA.. Normally we go during the week but just decided to do it on a Saturday..The Seafood Shack did not disappoint us, I had the small flounder and large shrimp, salad, baked potato and tried the macaroni and cheese. It was all wonderful, the macaroni and cheese was absolutely delicious best I have had, very creamy, salad freshest ever, 2 good size pieces of flounder and several large shrimp. Brought a lot of it home because I ate all I could. Delicious, wonderful service and the place was very busy for an afternoon. My husband had lots clams, scallops cooked to perfection and he had a baked potato, slaw and he bought some of his home too. We will be back. 😊”

“I have always loved Grandma Ruby's but now that my homegirl Jana is there, it's always better, you got to go see her because she just makes the place so much better. it was great before. it's just so much better now. not to mention they have amazing food, they always have. it's just a good little country cookin' spot right there on University. if you've never had it, you have to go try it. you will not regret it.”

“We stopped here ina Tuesday in the middle of the day & order 4 entrees, cheese dip, and bean dip, and everything was AMAZING! The taco shells were grilled & came with fresh cilantro & onions and tons of meat. They had great vegetarian options too. Service was fast & friendly. Prices were reasonable. We were really impressed with everything and at the end of the meal you get a little free sweet treat, which was icing on the cake!”

“I usually don’t have nothing negative to say about this place- cause the majority of the time when we go to eat here the food is pretty good, and the staff is nice. But today I got a to-go order of a fried chicken salad- with ranch! And I requested extra chicken (I even said I will pay the extra) and of course I get home- my salad box had very little lettuce 🥬 in it- and the lettuce that was in it, was very faint & just not fresh like the other times I’ve gotten this exact salad. Wasn’t crisp- and barely had any “salad” in the to-go container. I think for the price - it should have been at least a little more decently made- and I could have got my extra chicken I requested! 😒”

“My husband, daughter, and I visited on 11/1, and everything was great! I had the Sushi Sashimi Fusion, our daughter got the Special Ramen, and my husband had the Ribeye Steak Bento. We also ordered Takoyaki to start — I hadn’t had it in almost 20 years, and it was very good! Everything was so delicious I couldn’t stop doing a little happy food dance. Our waiter was super kind, and when he found out it was our daughter’s birthday, he brought out fried cheesecake for us to share — such a sweet surprise! If I had one complain it would be the amount of options made it difficult to choose what I wanted(which is entirely my fault, not theirs). Maybe a suggestion would be to add a Chirashi Bowl option to the menu. The flavors brought me right back to my exchange trip to Japan as a teen. Highly recommend this place — it’s not super fancy, but the food is so good!”
