Unmatched uniquely gorgeous Riverside view & charm together with extremely delicious fresh chef seafood & other entrées after a cup of she-crab soup! Food was amazing!!! We had Brussel sprouts, grilled oysters, lamb lollipops, and crab stuffed salmon and it was all delicious. The seating and views are amazing as well. Highly recommend

The Pilot House restaurant offers a fantastic dining experience with phenomenal food and a delightful, quaint atmosphere in a beautiful southern home overlooking the Cape Fear River. The unmatched, uniquely gorgeous riverside view is a major highlight, especially at sunset or with the lights on the river at night. The food is extremely delicious, featuring fresh, chef-inspired seafood and other entrées. Specific praised dishes include the grouper, the steak, the she-crab soup, and the Tuna Poke Bowl. While serving sizes can be a little small, the food is consistently described as great, perfect, and excellent.
The service is outstanding, excellent, and acceptable, with staff going out of their way to create special and memorable experiences. The overall atmosphere is unbeatable, combining riverside charm with a super quaint setting. It is a favorite for both lunch, with occasional ships passing by, and dinner, making it a top-choice restaurant for celebrations and casual visits alike.
