About The Blind Elephant

The Blind Elephant in Wilmington is a unique spot with a fantastic ambiance and attentive bartenders who craft amazing cocktails. The Old Fashioned and Lions Tail are highly recommended, and the knowledgeable staff is skilled at creating personalized drinks based on individual preferences. The atmosphere is classy and inviting, making it perfect for enjoying music and conversation. The venue is located in a hidden alley, giving it a speakeasy feel that transports guests back in time. Guests can choose from a variety of spirits, including whiskey like Jefferson’s for an Old Fashioned, or enjoy featured cocktails crafted by true mixologists. The bartenders are master mixologists who serve up tantalizing concoctions, elevating drinks to an art form. The place offers plentiful seating and sometimes has a live piano on certain evenings, adding to the lounge-like vibe. Many visitors found the seasonal Cabin Fever cocktail to be amazing—subtle, balanced, and not overpowering—which highlights the venue’s focus on craft cocktails. The venue also offers lots of beer and wine options, providing variety for all tastes. Some felt that the $5 entry fee is a bit high for the experience, especially considering the drink prices. Occasionally, the vibe can be disrupted by loud storytelling or uncomfortable situations, but overall, many guests find the ambiance, friendly staff, and quality drinks make The Blind Elephant a memorable and worthwhile destination for a special night out in Wilmington.

Great drinks, staff and atmosphere!

Great atmosphere. Fun speakeasy with jazzy vibes.

The Blind Elephant was such a unique experience! Tucked away in an alleyway, it has that hidden speakeasy vibe from the moment you arrive. The vintage atmosphere is incredibly well done, from the beautiful decor to the old movies playing in the background.

There is a membership fee/cover charge to get in, but it’s well worth it for the experience. The bar was spotless,...read full review
