7 Best Burger Restaurants in La Vista

“Charred at Southport is excellent. They have exceptional burgers and sides, and it's always fresh. It's so great to have this gem in an area surrounded by mostly only fast food restaurants.
Parking is abundant, service is prompt and friendly, and it's clean.

Kid-friendliness: Kids welcome. They even offer interlocking blocks and crayons and paper to keep them occupied.“

“This place has been great every time we've gone through either drive thru or dine in. The staff are very respectful and polite and patient(with kiddos) when they are having some fun inside. The food has always been hot and fresh, and I think we all know the root beer is some of the best.

Kid-friendliness: There is no play area designated for kiddos, but the atmosphere is comfortable enough to have your kids "play" at the table, and the staff have great patience for it.“

“I was able to get my Crisp Meat Burrito and Soft Beef Taco fix at 9:30am. It's rare to find anyplace that serves anything but breakfast food before 10:30 am! I read online that the lunch menu was served even in the morning at Amigos, I didn't believe it, so I had to find out for myself, and it's true.

The food tastes just as good as when 14th St Amigos was our late night spot while at UNL in the early 90s.

I was pleased to see ranch and four different flavors of salsa on the salsa bar. Before the salsa bar returned following the pandemic, there was a charge for a small condiment cup of ranch. BiG improvement, there. I don't believe we'll ever see a return to the pre-pandemic salsa bar, with jalapeño slices and the warm queso pump, but the Diablo salsa is plenty spicy so I didn't miss the jalapeño slices (and it's a jalapeño spicy, not over the top habanero or ghost pepper.)

You never know what you'll get for service at a fast food place, but today here in LaVista, the young lady at the counter was helpful, friendly, and smiley.

After several years away, this is just what the doctor ordered.“

“Drive thru order. Waited a little bit, even though we were the only drive thru customer and no customer inside. Annoying, but understandable, given the order was for four people in the car. The food was alright - no complaints from the others.“

“I was in the restaurant last night and there was an altercation with a table and another server who had just got there but the manager brenda I believe was her name stepped in rightfully and toke care of the situation very well. She came to apologize to our table for the disturbance and I couldn’t stop telling her how proud of her I was for how well she handled everything. Thanks to her my family and I will continue to keep coming in. That young lady deserves a big raise. She was trying to calm the situation down and help with everything she could. Words cannot describe how impressed we are with her.“
