“While visiting from Virginia, this was the one place on my list. We ordered one of each entree on the menu because everything sounded good. The quesadilla with beat hummus, figs, vegan feta, and pecans was truly a standout menu item that I'll be trying to recreate at home. We also had a Cubana sandwich, sweet potato mole enchiladas, and my husband wanted the burrito. I had hoped to have the nachos but they weren't on the menu this time. We still enjoyed everything and agreed the quesadilla was our favorite.

The horchata was also delicious. I think my husband ordered both of ours with a shot of cold brew. I think we might have missed out not ordering dessert. I didn't get to check out the ambiance because I waited in the car with a sleepy toddler and Pepe helped my husband get the food out to the car. I love creative and unique vegan food and Pepe's delivers!“

“Our food was delicious. There was a great variety of foods, each distinctly and carefully seasoned Alias, the manager, explained that fresh ingredients are prepared every day. (No foods are refrigerated for another day.) The restaurant welcomes individuals and groups at tables and in a special area for reclining meals. In all respects, this restaurant serves its customers excellent food in congenial surroundings.“

The planning process was wonderful as they were so helpful with the menu selection, giving us samples to try along the way & assisting us in knowing how much to order. “I placed a takeout order today for Lamb Shank over rice, it had a side of tasty hummus(it had a spice oil mixed in that made the hummus tasty) & a side salad with dressing. The young gentleman behind the counter took my call in order and was friendly and professional on the phone. The same young man put my order together and was very friendly. Enjoyed the food at home, quite tasty. I never realized all this time that this tiny restaurant was next to the Phillips Gas Station on the east side of North 17th street. If you don’t look for it one can easily miss it. I will be sure to return with my sisters to try some of the other tasty looking entrees. Thank you Safaa. 🙏“

“My wife and I go to this neighborhood favorite of ours for trivia and beer. We recommend the current craft creations Loma Lager, Chocolate Porter, and Overdone IIPA. I was parked on the side of the street and looked around to see where I could eat before a 3 hour drive to my next destination when I saw Honest Abe's burgers just across the street from where I was parked. Of COURSE I had to go try it and I was not disappointed. My burger and fries were fresh and delicious and the ladies working there were friendly. The signs, artwork, and general decor were fun - especially to me!“

“This was a first time for us, and we were there at 5:15 on a Saturday. We got in without a reservation, but the wait was pretty long shortly after that. So reservations are probably recommended. Our server, Reed, was fantastic! Reed was very attentive (but not pushy), offered suggestions, checked in with us often, and was an overall great server! We had 2 drinks each, both had steak dinners, and shared the peanut butter cheesecake (which was so good), and our bill came to a little over $100. Not too bad for such a great experience! We would definitely go back the next time we're in Lincoln.“

“The evening started out not so great. Upon arrival the dinning area was relatively empty but we were asked to wait 5-10 min. I understand it was to delegate customers equally to servers but it feels like there should be a better way. The two girls at the front were laughing and giggling among themselves, hopefully not on the clock but it seemed they were doing take out orders. We almost left during this wait but I was hungry and really wanted brisket.
I ordered the texas brisket plate with a side salad and apples, hubby ordered wings and sweet potato fries. The food was really good, it came out in a timely manner. The corn muffin was delicious even though I wouldnt recommend the apples. But who cares about apples, the main course was on point.
The highlight of the evening and what turned this review from a 3 to a 5 was our server. Lance, I pretty sure that was his name. He was absolutely great, he did everything he could make sure we enjoyed our experience and I highly appreciate him.“

“It was my first time and I enjoyed it. The salad was good, but the chicken was dry though. Unless you want to be choking on the chicken, I would order the salad without the chicken. The grilled shrimp Alfredo is wonderful. They were generous with the shrimp, which I appreciated. The cheese curd is also great choice of appetizer. The complimentary croissant is nice and fresh. I would recommend eating it before it gets cold. When it's warm, it's nice and soft, but when it gets cold, it's very flaky and crusty and it does not taste the same. The staffs are nice and very accommodating. Overall, the place is 4.5/5.“

“We hadn’t been to Stauffer’s since before Covid. A friend told me the Honest Abe’s had boughten it so we decided to try it for lunch yesterday and everything was delicious! The rolls and biscuits were homemade. I had turkey dinner and it was real roast turkey, not deli meat. We had pie, too, and it was so good. The server was very friendly and attentive. We will definitely be eating there often!“

“We made reservations for 10am for a party of 6. There was so many great menu options it was hard to choose but everything we had was delicious and big portions. On top of that the waitress was super friendly, the atmosphere was fantastic and very reasonably priced. We will definitely make a point to eat here again when we visit Lincoln.“

“Excellent food, service, and a very clean place to eat.As a party of two, we ordered Falafel with a side of fries, Spanakopita with a side of salad and a lentil soup...all vegetarian and freshly made. Food was served in 5-7 minutes, it was absolutely delicious! We haven't had or come across Mediterranean food this good for years, and there was no suffering of repeat, or heartburn hassles afterwards. That was a bonus!I loved that you could see into the kitchen area and watch the cooks at work too. It was all very clean as well.

I love that they compost the uneaten food and the leftover napkins and paper products. I brought my 72 year old dad from out of town here, and he loved this place.
