Applebee's Grill + Bar is a popular spot for family lunches or dinners. The Maple location offers quick service and food delivery, even during busy times. The servers, such as Amy, are friendly and attentive, providing specials like dollaritas and gift cards. The menu features fan-favorites like the bourbon chicken and shrimp, and the half-price apps are very popular. The restaurant is kid-friendly with a kids' menu, sets, and coloring pages, and it is wheelchair accessible. There is plenty of parking, making Applebee's a convenient and enjoyable place to dine.
Recent reviews mention that the food is cooked to order and the drinks are good. One customer enjoyed a seasonal drink and found the breading on a meal to be very tasty. Servers are described as attentive and personable. However, some reviews highlight issues such as cold spinach dip, old-tasting chips, and overly salty fries. There are also concerns about inconsistent food quality, with some dishes not meeting expectations compared to past visits. One reviewer noted that the loaded fries and mac n cheese were bland and different from what they remembered.
Customer service experiences vary, with some guests feeling that the greeting was unenthusiastic and the atmosphere was lacking, especially with poor lighting and cleanliness, like used silverware in the booth. Others appreciated small gestures like a staff member offering to take a photo. Overall, while drinks and certain dishes are enjoyed, there are ongoing concerns about consistency and food quality across the chain.
Vegetarian options are not available on the menu, and it is unclear how accommodating the restaurant might be for requests without meat. Despite some issues, Applebee's remains a convenient spot for families and groups looking for familiar favorites and a casual dining experience.
