Fernando's Omaha Reviews
Excellent food! Friendly knowledgeable staff!
We went to Fernado's Saturday night, and we hadn't gone in a while. We order or food, it came out. While the waitress was bringing our food, she dropped hot grease from the plate on my son's arm. Hadn’t been to fernandos in awhile but we were disappointed with the food . Didn’t taste like Mexican .we ordered a carafe of margaritas that was 3/4 full of ice. Tasted watered down. The only good thing was the guacamole dip. Had a good waitress but we probably won’t go back again

Fernando's Omaha offers a mix of authentic Mexican dishes and a welcoming atmosphere. Visitors praise the large portions and flavorful meals, such as Carnitas Tacos, shredded beef Burrito, and the Blanco enchilada, which is highly recommended. The food is generally considered reasonably priced and satisfying, with big portions that make for good value. The staff, including bartenders like Shaggy and servers like Linda, are often described as friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable, enhancing the overall experience. Drinks and guac are also well-liked, and the service tends to be quick and friendly.
However, some concerns are noted. One visitor was disappointed with the presentation of the food, stating the dishes looked unappealing and were not visually appealing. Another mentioned that the CCQ (stringy cheese and chips) should have been hotter, and there was a minor issue with missing silverware. Additionally, seeing a waitress eating hard boiled eggs at the bar was seen as unpleasant by one guest. Outside appearance might not be impressive, but many feel the quality of the food and the friendly staff make up for it.
Overall, Fernando's Omaha is appreciated for its authentic flavors, large portions, and friendly service, making it a solid choice for Mexican food lovers, especially those looking for a casual dining experience with good value.
