“I had the pleasure of visiting Ahmad's Restaurant during my trip to Omaha, and it was a delightful experience. Finally getting the chance to dine here after seeing the pictures and reading the reviews was truly worth it. Meeting Ahmad in person was a highlight - his warm hospitality made the visit even more enjoyable. One thing that drew me to this restaurant was Ahmad's unique idea of serving bananas alongside Persian food. Despite some reviews dismissing this concept, I found it to be a distinguishing feature that added to the charm of the dishes. The combination of flavors was exceptional and truly made the dining experience memorable. We tried the Tehran chicken and Kabob Kubideh, both of which were exquisite. The Tehran chicken had a distinct and spicy flavor profile that I hadn't encountered before, adding an exciting twist to traditional Persian cuisine. Ahmad's innovative approach to cooking, evident in every dish, sets his restaurant apart from other typical Persian restaurants.I appreciate Ahmad's willingness to introduce new ideas while still honoring the essence of Persian cuisine. The inclusion of bananas may seem unconventional to some, but it's these unique choices that make Ahmad's Restaurant stand out.To further illustrate, I was reminded of the Brazilian tradition of serving cooked bananas between different meals to balance flavors. Just as in Brazilian cuisine, where grilled bananas enhance the dining experience, Ahmad's clever addition of bananas complemented the spicy chicken and kubideh kabob perfectly. We also tasted the restaurant's baklava, a delightful dessert. It was the perfect way to end a fantastic dining experience. Moreover, the environment was very beautiful and friendly, with captivating paintings adding to the ambiance.Overall, I highly recommend Ahmad's Restaurant to anyone looking for a unique and delicious culinary adventure. Don't let the naysayers deter you - embrace the creativity and passion that Ahmad brings to each dish. I can't wait to return and explore more of his innovative menu offerings.“

“I was awful about taking pictures but that’s because we gobbled everything down so fast. Hearty, well seasoned, it felt like I was eating in someone’s home. It was phenominal and we will be coming here much more frequently. Service was fast and our food got to us fast. The mantu and sambusas are MUST HAVES and my husband loved the lulya kabob (I didn’t get a picture because I was eating and by the time I finished, he had eaten it all.)The jasmine tea I got was spectacular. Truly I cannot rave enough. Please try them out if you’ve never had central Asian cuisine!“

“Taste and portions are great. Avoid the fries; they are a little bit soggy. The employees and owners are really nice and it doesn't take long for them to cook the food. Also, the tend to not be open even though Google maps claims their hours show that they should be. Overall I do recommend it. Just call ahead. Make sure that they are open.“

“Atmosphere- like a little cafe. We had combination appetizers, shawarma combination, beef stew. Mild yet delightful flavoring. They have hot spices you can add to it to burn your face if you like. They were very nice. We would recommend and will return.“

“This is my favourite Mediterranean restaurant in the Omaha area. The ambiance of the restaurant takes you back to a time where things were a little less complicated. The food is outstanding along with the service. The owners are friendly people and will take time out to talk to you.I highly suggest that you get the mint tea, it is the best in the area I think. The gyro combo and falafel platter was wonderful. The baklava is made Lebanese style so it is not as crumbly. The flavour is out of this world. You can even smoke a hookah there if you so choose to. They have a wide variety of drinks and beverages, alcoholic and non-alcoholic and some imports.“

“On a whim, we decided we wanted Mediterranean food while we visited Omaha (we're from Colorado). We conducted a Google search and selected the Mediterranean Bistro and made reservations for 4 adults, a 7 year old, and a 2 year old. Prior to going, we reviewed their menu online so we could order quickly (due to 2 hungry kids) and get out of the restaurant before prime dining time! Upon arrival, we sat at a corner booth with plenty of room for all 6 of us. We ordered an appetizer of Sliced Feta and Greek Olives with Pita Bread. It was delicious, and we shared it amongst the adults! It was a good portion and tasted great! My wife wanted a Gyro, but to our dismay, they only served them at lunch (our fault for not looking at the correct menu). She decided to have the Caspian (Lamb) Kabob. Marinated and grilled lamb tenderloin and fresh vegetables cooked over an open flame, served with basmati rice and a 2 oz. side of cucumber yogurt sauce. It was superb and the talk of the table! The lamb was cooked to perfection and generous in proportion! I had the Combo Kabob Chicken kabob and shish (beef tenderloin) with grilled fresh vegetables and basmati rice. The chicken was the best part of this meal, and I'd order Chicken Kabob if I had it to do all over. The beef tenderloin was chewy and had some gristle through it. My son had the Shish Kabob Marinated beef tenderloin, grilled vegetables, cooked open flame served with basmati rice. He liked his, and his was cooked well and was as advertised. My daughter in law had the Greek Salad with Chicken; Lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers, onions, feta cheese, olives & house dressing with grilled chicken. The salad was fresh, the chicken was delicious, and it was a generous portion. The kids had the Small Plate Chicken, which was ok for them! The sides of all the meals were cooked well and definitely helped us geel full! The staff were ok but not great! We had to wait on drink refills, and the time we waited from the appetizer to order was a little long! The meals were cooked fresh and took about 25 minutes to receive. They were well worth the wait, but we were glad we brought along snacks for the kids. As a side note, when you order a Coke for $3.99, it's served as a can with no refills. Finally, the bill came, and it wasn't broken down by item. It was a little over $100 without tip, but we all felt it was worth it!Parking: The parking lot is shared with multiple businesses and a little hard to find!“
