“I placed an order for pickup. The food is top notch, no complaints, but the delivery was a failure. I've been waiting for my order for a very long time. Sometimes I go to a restaurant, but there was no such problem when ordering inside.“

Cake by the Pound at Ruby's Place Southern • $

“The first time I had bought the German chocolate cake. It was so delicious. I also want to try the peach cobbler, but they were out. I love love love peach cobbler. I said ok. I’ll get them the next time I come. In my mom’s recipe of peach cobbler. It has to have crunch and peaches throughout the entire peach cobbler. Thats why it’s called “Peaches then cobbler” hahaha. So I stopped by this passed Saturday. Praying they had peach cobbler, and Lord the man at the counter said it will be done in one hour. I left and came back. I order two orders of peach cobbler. Long story short. My mom passed away in 2017. When I tell you I swear my mom came back from heaven. Made that cobbler and went back. That peach cobbler was so good. I called back to see if they had any more left. He said we close at six pm. I said I’m on my way. I made it there In 2.5 minutes and bought the rest of the peach cobbler and I order a whole one to pick up on Wednesday when they open back up. I found my favorite peach cobbler. Thank you Mrs. Ruby you did that and I am very grateful for you ❤️❤️❤️?????“

“We have eaten at both locations. We went to the one in Old Market for their Easter buffet. It was outstanding. So much food to pick from and everything was delicious. Carving station with pork tenderloin and banana foster French toast. Salad table and a fruit and pastry table. Omelet station with tons of options. The main section had main courses plus numerous side dishes. Our server, Sam, was excellent. She was engaging, a delight to talk to and made sure we had whatever we needed. Definitely will return for the next buffet.“

“Bad experience this trip- went to celebrate a birthday. The waitress was rude. We haven't experienced that in the past at Cracker Barrel. The manager quickly apologized and offered assistance when I went to pay.We were seated around 7:15pm. We waited for someone to take our order till around 7:45. We had to ask if someone was going to take our order. The response was they would, but they couldn't right now as they had to bring food to other tables ( in an annoyed voice tone). It seemed as if we asked for the impossible? We finally got to order, then anxiously waited for our biscuits to come out. They never did. We had to ask the waitress for them and she said it that doesn't come out b4 your food unless you ask, again in an annoyed tone. The whole table looked at each other shocked. We have never had to ask in the past. The biscuits always came out after you ordered. The waitress, Anna, finally brought out the biscuits but no plates. The food took forever to come out. We didn't eat till after 8:30. They weren't packed, so we had no idea why it took so long. No apologies from wait staff, just an attitude. I assume the waitress either didn't like her job or was just having a bad day, either way she was rude to my party of 7 for no reason. I was happy the manager helped, but that waitress made our dinner one 2 remember for the wrong reasons.“
