“Danette is absolute magic! Not only did she make our wedding cake to perfection but she also made fresh Whoopie Pies, Tiramisu, mini cheesecake bites, and chocolate covered strawberries that were out of this world. We trusted Danette from start to finish and would use her again in a heartbeat.“
“The Underground Bakery & Cafe is a very cozy and comfortable place. They had so many delicious options I got the House sandwich with steak and it was amazing and very savory, the pretzels with the sandwiches are so good too. The staff were so polite and friendly. Good portion size for the price. The pastries all look fresh and delicious. Will definitely be coming back to try all their amazing pastries.“
“Great products! We got a delicious loaf of bread that was beautifully fresh and soft. The pastries are wonderful. The ginger apricot scone is unique and very memorable. It’s been 2 months since my visit here, and I’m still thinking about it. Too bad I’m miles away. If I’m ever in the area, I’ll make it my mission to return to this succulent treat.“
“We stopped here recently at the advice of friends. We got several donuts and coffee for breakfast. The donuts were amazing. I love chocolate cake donuts with coconut. These were fantastic. The coffee was excellent too. Very reasonably priced!“
“This place is unreal- amazing food, friendly staff, great atmosphere, and incredibly clean. It’s hard to believe that their baked goods are gluten free! I think they are also dairy free. We got a bunch of things from their baked good case to try stuff out and everything was TOP notch. These people are experts in their craft! Go there!“
“I called to have a custom baseball cake made for my son’s 1st Birthday and they were able to get it done in short notice over the weekend for us. I told them to give it their own twist and they made it in the shape of a ball! It was the best vanilla cake I’ve ever had!!! So impressed! Did not disappoint! Highly recommend this place for all your bakery needs!“
“Came here to celebrate my Vegan-niversy with some sweets -- so incredibly worth the drive out. Also got the buffalo wrap and it was a great combination of spicy and cool -- very well proportioned protein to veggie ratio and filling. But what REALLY takes the cake (pun intended) are the vegan baked goods! Got a s'mores bar and a raspberry bar: Only eaten the former thus far, and it was AMAZIING. Not a bad bite to be had - good size, not sickly sweet, and super satisfying with fabulous flavor. The only potential con (I was fine because I was in no hurry) is to be prepared for a wait -- especially if you order in person. There's only one lady and she's amazing, but she can only do so much. Be patient -- it's Worth it!“
“If you cannot wait in line, order online in advance! The people who work here are super nice but always super busy. You can tell they take pride in the items they sell in the way they are displayed and packaged for you to go. In the warmer months you might enjoy sipping your espresso and nibbling your pastry on the deck. But in the colder months you take your items to go and sip in your car. I love going here for espresso, special breads, pastries, and desserts. Love that we have this place in our community.“
“I would like to start by telling you a little about myself. I am a chef, pastry chef, and baker! I am adventurous, daring, and enthusiastic, not afraid to try new dishes or flavors and then incorporate those flavors into a dish masterpiece. I cook from ingredients put together that are Not out of the box, and no one else has tried. I love to share food and feed people. Eating out or purchasing baked goods is hard because I am an excellent cook/ baker. Today, I stopped by Batter Up Bakery in Chocorua, New Hampshire, to buy some baked goods. I can tell you this: Julie's baked goods are phenomenal; Julie and her helper, Danielle, make some downright great food! The perfect Cinnamon Rolls! The Swedish and German immigrants brought the delectable cinnamon roll to the United States in the 17th century. So, let's talk about the qualities of a Great cinnamon roll, in fact, The World's Best Cinnamon Roll! The dough should be lightly sweetened but full of flavor — yeasty and buttery; the filling should have a punch of cinnamon and be sticky with brown sugar and butter. And the icing? It better be ooey-gooey.Fresh dough, frosting, and a generous amount of cinnamon are used to make their delectable rolls. The cinnamon roll is light and fluffy, with just the right sweetness. Batter up Backey owner Julie has mastered her cinnamon roll! Now, the cupcakes! Colorful, moist, delicious cupcakes with extra frosting. Great taste, moist, Fine delicate texture, Light body (not dense or heavy), Good shape (gently domed), not too sweet, but very lush and never overtly flavored frosting. Thanks Girls! I will be back!“
“This establishment is run by unprofessional owners and management, who should be ashamed of treating employees so poorly when they have been responsible and hard working. Threatening and not using general management skills to assess internal affairs. Threats of lawyers after the fact to cover up terrible business misconduct at the highest level. This team is more concerned about their own personal drama then then there hard working employees. Don't. Support. This. Business.“
“Had a dinner there last night with the wife. Have been here a few times over the years and it continues to impress. Had the Ribeye and was cooked to perfection. Wife had she shrimp and scallops and said it was amazing and filling. The staff - Emma and Matt give you such a welcoming too. Highly recommend.“
“While waiting to pick up lunch elsewhere, we decided to check out this bakery. I am so glad we did! A few bites of donut held us over until lunch was ready, and they were the perfect snack after a day in the mountains. We got Boston cream, Italian wedding cookie, and chocolate donuts—all great flavors! We will definitely stop here again, or pick up her donuts at The Met.“
