“We wanted Italian tonight and was pleased to find Cartellis North End right in Dover. Service was great. You can actually see the kitchen from anywhere you sit. Even though the place is small and noisy, the atmosphere was quaint and the food was delicious. I heard they give large portions, so we ended up each ordering appetizer and splitting an entree but still brought some home. Loved the spinach/artichoke dip. The chicken wings looked delicious but the penne vodka with shrimp dish was wonderful. Thanks for being so close to home and bedtime wishes to expand some day soon.“

“My family and I come here every Friday. It is close to home and is always delicious! This past Friday our awesome server told us someone paid for our entire meal because our kids were so well behaved. We have 3 girls, a teen, 6yr old and toddler! “My husband and I are staying in Portsmouth and we were looking from something outside the downtown area so we drove to Dover.

We had a different place in mind but the outside of the building caught our eye and we thought we’d give it a shot. One thing we’ve noticed so far with the area is how “dead” a lot of the places are during the week, this place was far from that. It was popping on Tuesday so that speaks for its reputation. I loved the vibes inside with the disco ball and walk up counters.

We ordered a pizza and salad to go and they were so helpful and accommodating. We made two substitutions on the Amici pizza and they did them without any fuss, which some places will turn their nose up if you even dare. We really appreciated that and made us even more excited to try their pizza. My husband asked for extra sauce because he likes it saucy, the cook gave him a large container without any hesitation or charge. In Las Vegas, that’s unheard of and brightened his day.

They were quick with the order and even after taking it home and eating it cold, the pizza was tasty! This was for sure worth the extra drive as tourists and we enjoyed trying a local spot. We would recommend to our tourists and would come again next time we visit.“

“We ordered takeout from Dough in Portsmouth, NH… but the atmosphere was so warm, cozy, and welcoming that we decided to stay and enjoy ourselves instead. 💛 As vegans, we were honestly blown away by how accommodating everyone was — especially the vegan chef Jenny, who went above and beyond for us. She made vegan fettuccine Alfredo, vegan chocolate milk, incredible vegan sundaes, and every single thing we tried was delicious.
