“I heard a lot of local buzz about Carpenter’s while working in Enfield and decided to (finally) check it out with my husband. Being a barista for ten years, I go into coffee shops with an open mind as drinks can be done in a multitude of ways - some good, some bad. The atmosphere alone was cozy and welcoming - low music with enough seating to work if one so wished. The staff in and of themselves were welcoming and patient as I looked over their menu and asked questions on what they had. I wound up getting a London Fog for myself and a Flat White for my husband (to which I was happily surprised that it was the traditional way to do a Flat White). Both were extremely delicious and the foam aroma lids just made the drinks that much better. If you’re looking for not only atmosphere but stellar service and drinks, look no further than Carpenter’s.”

“The chicago style pizza was sooo good. The drink and utensils counter is shoved inconveniently in the corner. It's such a tight fit that I had to wait while a lady and her daughter got their drinks and fiddled around with lids and napkind. I just wanted a fork. You seat yourselves and walk to the counter to order.”

“Stopped here for dinner while visiting family in NH. WOW. The service was fantastic. Jada was our server and she was so kind and accommodating to our group. The food was amazing as well. We visited on Valentine’s Day so not only was the space decorated and the staff dressed up but all of the women in the restaurant were gifted red roses and chocolate covered strawberries — so classy. There was also live music, a country singer playing guitar who was so fun. The experience at Poor House was 10/10, thank you!”

“It's like going to someone's house and getting a home cooked meal. And fresh mango squeezed juice without extra sugar. And homemade habanero hot sauce. Creole chicken and jerk oxtail stew to round out the meal. Very delicious.”

“Great restaurant located right on three lake. Seafood, burgers, salads, and other options. For dessert ice cream and milkshakes. Charming place with a lot of history. If you have a boat you can also dock directly at the restaurant and walk right in. Highly recommend!”

“Last night we went to Jesses o celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary! I had called for some special accommodations I wanted. They did a fabulous job with our booth (which I requested for privacy and low noise level. It was a perfect booth! I had requested champaign be on the table in ice and chilled glasses. Candles were another request. The table was perfect and beautiful. Very romantic! My Huband's gift was delivered to the restaurant. It was sitting on the shelf behind the table. Perfect! The Managers and staff were excellent! A shout out to Tiffany and Abbey(manager). So very pleasant and accommodating. We have never had such excellent service. We have to many 4/5 star restaurants in our 50 years together (actually 52 if you count our courtship) LOL! So, congratulations on a job well done. Everyone (seemed to know about it) Even other patrons came by our table and congratulated us! e were truly made to feel special. I highly recommend Jesses for celebrations, or just a fabulous meal. They usually have live music in the bar area on the weekend nights. Which is where we usually sit for the comradery. . Always someone interesting to strike up a conversation with, sitting right next to you. Jesses is the place to be!”
