“Wow. Truly top flight Indian/Nepalese/Himalayan cuisine in Manchester. What a win! I've long told friends that the one culinary shortcoming of New Hampshire, around me, at least, is good Indian. Well KS isn't good, it's excellent! We sampled cauliflower 69 (if I recall the number correctly app), veggie korma, Goan fish curry, saag paneer and garlic naan. All were as good as I've ever had anywhere. I specifically asked that the cauliflower be NOT sweet (as it usually is) and they happily complied. Savory and with just a bit of heat. The saag was smooth and creamy and the paneer of just the right texture. Goan fish curry has a unique flavor profile and they nailed it. The veggie korma had a nice variety of veggies and the sauce was creamy and mild, just the way our friend likes it. Finally, the naan came hot and fragrant. If I'd known they served huge amounts of basmati rice with the entrees I wouldn't have ordered two but, oh well, just more food for us as leftovers - no way I was going to leave all that good sauce behind. And food as well - the servings were generous and we couldn't even visualize finishing it all at one sitting. For sure, we're going to be regulars going forward.“

“I went to the Crown Restaurant with a friend in the early evening, since the restaurant we had planned to go to was closed. I am so glad it was! We loved the atmosphere with the beautiful inlay floor, and tasteful setup with the bar and cooking area in designated areas. The atmosphere was alive with chatter and was just a happy place to be. My friend and I each had our own handmade pizza. Enough to share but you might want your own to take some slices home! She had a pizza with veges and garlic sauce. I had a mushroom pizza with delicious soft spreadable garlic, arugula and with truffle salt. (The last pizza on the menu. I would get it again.) We both loved the homemade chewy crust! Get the Cucumber Mocktail! Delicious! Don't forget the cheesecake with a berry sauce, or the caramel flan with a generous amount of raspberries. “Located in downtown Manchester, this small restaurant has a lot of personality. The bar was spacious with most tables understandably empty on a Monday afternoon. Our nachos were nothing to brag about, but my friend’s tuna appetizer looked amazing. We were both pleased with the cocktail menu and our selections. “My husband and I have been living in the area for 6 years, and embarrassingly enough, have never been here - until last night. We sat at the bar next to another couple who were very nice. We started with some drinks and teriyaki and triple play wings. They were good, though I am not much of a sauce on my wing's person. For dinner, I got a fried chicken sandwich while my husband ordered a burger. I ate very little, only because I was full from the wings. The onion rings were amazing - food was fresh, reasonably price and the service was amazing. A must stop if you're in the area. We can't wait to return soon!“

When I walk into a place and they’re playing Sade and frank Sinatra, I knew it was going to be amazing! Starting off, I asked if they could make me a martini with vodka and a fruit as I was up for a surprise and they did not disappoint! It ended up being some sort of banana martini which was interesting and nothing short of delicious. We also got an espresso martini which was amazing as well. Anyways we ordered the octopus balls, truffle fries, beef tongue Reuben and BBQ pork belly. I have to say I was shocked. I don’t even have a word for the food because it was beyond spectacular. I’ve never had beef tongue before and was a bit scared to try it but it was amazing. This level of dining and experience could absolutely survive in a bigger city like New York or LA. I found the prices to be extremely reasonable given how fresh and amazing the food was. You’re getting lesser quality of food for more money elsewhere on elm! I think what made the experience most hospitable was when I believe it was the chef came out to greet us and ask how everything was! This was the most unique cuisine I’ve ever seen in the city; well worth the money in my opinion! If there’s one thing Manchester is doing right it’s birch on elm! Kudos!!“

“The Bistro is one of our favorite spots to eat. The food, service and atmosphere are fantastic. The wines are great and there is a full bar if wine isn't your thing. They change up the menu periodically which is fun. If you are there at lunch, I highly recommend the Chicken Salad Wrap which has wine soaked cranberries among other tasty ingredients. The crispy buffalo cauliflower appetizer is also amazing as are the new salted caramel wings (I was skeptical but WOW!).We also highly recommend the events there (and the Derry location). The only real issue I would say we had was that our sever, a guy, had ZERO personality. I have no idea what his name was since he never told us and there was no conversation other than taking our order. I will say that he was really attentive and took good care of us service wise but I had to wonder is if was maybe his first time as a server since he was very reserved. It is probably the finest breakfast establishments in the greater Manchester area when it comes to serving up five star breakfast options that will satisfy the most critical of palates (I should know ha ha). I love the variety of choices and vegan and vegetarian options too. Definitely reminds me of breakfast in San Diego, especially with their coffee and expresso bar.
