“Went there to celebrate my wife's birthday. It was phenomenal. We've been there many times and while we've had many good meals, this past week was a cut above. All meals were beautifully presented, cooked perfectly and delicious. AP many interesting and unique flavors. We went deep on the appetizers. The fried artichokes, and the wagyu meatballs were both a wonderful start, but it was the Tater tots took 1st prize on the apps. Dinner entries were great. Steak, salmon and fish special were all fabulous. And the pear cobbler was a perfect finish. We will be back sooner rather than later.“

“I personally did not eat here but my wife and daughter, who has a severe dairy allergy ate here last night. My wife was overwhelmed with how accommodating they were and the level of seriousness that they took her allergy. I can't begin to tell you how amazing it is for us to go out to eat "like normal families do" and for it to not be a STRICTLY vegan restaurant. My wife told me she was close to tears. I just wanted to thank the staff at this great restaurant for giving them this experience. My wife and daughter are in town for a tour of UNH and I am very happy to know she will have a safe place to hang with friends and get a bite to eat without worry. It will definitely make the 5 and a half hour drive a little easier.Dietary restrictions: Severe dairy allergy“

“We had a fantastic dinner. An extra bonus was watching the chefs cook, they were like an orchestra so coordinated. The sitting had 26 diners. The menu changes every week. We had bean soup, a choice of smoked salmon salad w potato or polenta with pork ragu, chicken with spinach or cod with carrots, beef with potato and red cabbage or pork and lentils, toffee pudding or funnel cake ( fried dough). Everything was delicious, there was not a single dish that we did not love. Service was attentive and friendly. We will be back!“

“Great restaurant! First thing I noticed is the happiness of the employees o thing but smiles. Everyone working helped each other and they seemed to be a team who enjoys working with each other because of that our service was impeccable. From drinks to the food everything was delicious. We started with fried calamari cooked perfectly, we had warm rolls served with soft butter ,roasted garlic and olives. We ordered the salmon and monk fish both cooked with so much flavor and the presentation was beautiful. Then for dessert we ordered the banana cake new on the menu I’m not a sweet eater but this was perfect not too sweet…..definitely everyone should visit this restaurant.“

“Excellent atmosphere, drinks, and service! What a hidden gem that we are so glad we stumbled upon this past week. So sorry to hear that a developer who owns the strip this fun beach bar is located on will be tearing everything down to put up brand new condos. Where are the people who buy those condos going to go for fun? Please save The Dolphin! Music, game nights, and great atmosphere to hang out and enjoy the ocean views while meeting and mingling with some great people!!“

“Title: A Culinary Gem in Portsmouth: Botanica Delights with French FlairNestled in the heart of Portsmouth, NH, Botanica is a delightful French restaurant that effortlessly blends elegance with a relaxed ambiance. From its inviting decor to its diverse menu offerings, Botanica caters to both gin aficionados and non-drinkers alike, ensuring an unforgettable dining experience for all.The mix gin bar is indeed a highlight, offering a tantalizing array of concoctions for gin enthusiasts, while also crafting exquisite mocktails for those abstaining. As a non-drinker, I appreciated the thoughtful attention to detail in providing equally satisfying beverage options. Now, let's talk about the food. The Steak Frites and Duck Confit were both exceptional choices for entrees, showcasing the chef's mastery of French culinary techniques. Each bite was a symphony of flavors, leaving me craving for more. But the culinary journey doesn't stop there. Botanica's menu boasts an impressive selection of small plates, appetizers, and desserts, each offering its own unique twist on French cuisine. The rabbit croquettes were a delightful surprise, perfectly crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. The raw oysters, fresh and briny, transported me to the shores of Brittany with each slurp. And the blue cheese with honey was a divine combination of savory and sweet, leaving my taste buds dancing with joy.In addition to the outstanding food and drink, the service at Botanica was impeccable. The staff exuded warmth and professionalism, ensuring that every aspect of my dining experience was nothing short of perfection.Overall, Botanica is a culinary gem in Portsmouth, offering a taste of France with a New England twist.
