From the moment you walk in, you’re welcomed like old friends. The staff is extremely friendly, full of personality, and genuinely fun to be around. They even remembered us from our visit the year before, which made us feel like part of the Abenaki family. The menu is packed with comforting favorites—juicy burgers, hearty sandwiches, and the absolute best buffalo tenders around. Everything we ordered hit the spot, and the casual pub vibe made it perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring the White Mountains. We loved it so much, we ended up eating there three out of the four days we were in New Hampshire. It’s just that good. “2 day getaway from the moment we registered with sweet Jennifer oh my..she gave us a tour.showed us the menu for that evening. she is si knowledgeable and friendly our carriage room #2 was so homey..2 comfy chairs for reading 📚 fridge.coffee bar right outside the room..we can't wait to return.. food delicious 😋 the grands were immaculate!!! ty for a relaxing stay!!“

“We had Cheese Louise cater our wedding, that had a music festival theme, and they knocked it out of the park! The appetizers were incredible, and everyone loved the variety of the grilled cheeses on the menu. The food really tied the theme together!“

“I had to come here and post a story that happened to a couple buddies and I a few years ago and how helpful muddy moose is . We were out fishing over the long weekend in may, it’s later in the evening and my one buddy says man wouldn’t it be cool to get a poutine ? Of course we all agree so we bust a phone out in the boat, search muddy moose up quick and hit dial not really paying much attention to it . Anyhow some very nice lady answers and we ask if they are still open to which she replies “ yes we are for another 30 min” . Well we’re like game on ! So we ask for three poutines to which the kind lady replies “ what’s a poutine “ answering her question kind of scratching our heads? How could you not know what this is ? Anyhow I’m sure we sounded hick with the frogs, boat motor, and three Canadians chirping each other through the call. She says oh yes we can make that for you and can have it in a bag for when you get here . Well now we are racing across a lake , jumping in a truck , racing down a muddy back road , down the highway , and yes we had about it two minutes to spare when we got to the Moose . When I ran in the door asking for our order a friend of ours is like “ uh dudes the grill has been closed for an hour” ??? We called the wrong muddy moose …. 🫎 we called you guys 1500km away . Woops . We ended up calling back after realizing our mistake , boy did we laugh , the lady couldn’t stop laughing either . We offered to pay over the phone but the lady said it was an honest mistake and a funny one and that she would offer up the poutines for a couple guests in the store . Good times . When I can get down there on my bike I plan on planning a stop just to order a meal .“

“Black Cap Grille is always our favorite dining spot when we visit N Conway. Great cocktails & delicious food with super nice wait staff. Last night the Prickly Pear Martini & Vegetarian Meatloaf with sweet potato french fries were a nice surprise on the menu & really good. Also my wife appreciated that they have mocktails. Highly Recommend!“

“Surprised and impressed. Our sandwiches were delicious! I did have to try the fried whole belly clams. First time here so I wasn't ready to commit to it as my meal. But wow! They were tender, sweet and delicious!! And ridiculously well priced. Only thing wrong was I ordered the small size. Waitstaff was sweet. Definitely worth it. Super small inside, but we were helped right away. Thank you. It was wonderful!“

“Excellent place for breakfast and dinner. The view and decor are stunning. For dinner, the charcuterie board is excellent, I had a cold soup special (cucumber and dill) which was the best tasting soup I’ve had in years. Our filet with mushrooms was cooked perfectly and delicious. Everything from apps to dessert are great. This restaurant gets even better each time we come. Breakfast French toast is excellent! Great wait staff at both meals who were kind and funny. We will return.“

“Stopped by for quick breakfast on way home from mini vacation. Got ham and Swiss croissant and was huge. Hubby hsduffin and coffee. Didn't disappoint. And the woman who took our order was friendly and personable. Brought home cpl bagels and there huge. Definitely worth it if your in north Conway!“
