Johnson's Seafood and Steak in North Berwick is a fun, authentic spot with great energy and even better food. The atmosphere is spot on, especially with snowmobiles rolling in and off the trails. The food is good, with fair prices and large portions. The Prime Rib Sandwich is incredible, truly one of the best. The fish and chips come with large portions, and onion rings are available instead of fries. The calamari is a large portion with plenty of rings and tentacles, and the grilled chicken Caesar salad is massive with a generous piece of chicken. The baked haddock, while great in taste, is a very small piece for the price. Seasonal cocktails, like the gingerbread espresso martini, are fabulous, and there is an impressive craft beer selection. The staff is absolutely incredible, remaining calm, kind, and attentive during a medical emergency. The food caliber is of that from a white linen restaurant, with generous portions and five-star service.
