Johnson's Marketplace Seafood Markets • $$

“My wife and I stopped by Johnson's Marketplace not knowing anything about it, we were greeted by a very employee (early Sunday morning)we just wanted a simple breakfast sandwich, while he was on the grill we had a chance to look around I was pleasantly surprised of the cleanliness and the organization of all of the displays of fresh cut meats and seafood followed by a large display soda, beer ,wine. Buy the way my sauge ,cheese, egg and hard roll was over the top.“

“Stopped in for the very first time since living here! The food was delicious, I had a grilled shrimp sandwich wrap which was prepared deliciously. Husband has a fried haddock sandwich! He enjoyed every bit of it as it was so big that two people could have eaten it. Service was excellent, Sue was the best. Definately a great find. Will be returning to try many other delicious items on menu as well.“

“Special call-out to our waitress “Leanne” - she handled our table of 12 with perfection (young kids, grand parents and in-laws “what a group - ugh!”…. She didn’t miss a beat, refills ahead of asking, anticipated flawlessly - just a really nice experience. I don’t often call out a waitress in my reviews - today she gets the 6th star!!! Keep being great!!! Restaurant; really like this place for family meals - simple, reasonable priced and solid food/portions. I’m a huge chicken parm fan as they use chicken fingers which is different, but really good (get extra cheese!) beer list is impressive - when you are at Johnson’s you know summer is in full swing - thank you Johnson’s TEAM! See you in 2024!“

“Was there on a busy Saturday afternoon. Only one bartender and two servers to handle a busy crowd. They did a great Job. Also saw the owner checking on customers and assisting the staff as needed. A good pub atmosphere with a good pub menu.“

“We live in Sicily and have relatives who live in Massachusetts and Barnstead. While visiting in Barnstead we decided to take a chance and walked into this place. Tucked in back was a pizzeria and we decided from the aroma it was a good choice. Our pizza was ordered with light sauce and crispy!!!Let me tell you something!!!! The pizza was spectacular! If I wasn’t embarrassed I would have ate the entire thing. Perfection In Every way!La pizza era deliziosa! Complimenti!Nate was the pizza maker and I must say the pizzas we ate at Polcari’s in Saugus, Ma and Santarpio’s could learn a thing or too! Thank you!“

“I was looking for something different in the area and found this cute cozy bar/restaurant with amazing food reviews. The food was really delicious! The lobster bisque was perfect. The prime rib, mashed and asparagus were also very yummy - served Fri/Sat nights. My friend had the fish tacos and loved that they were made with haddock, they weren’t fried, and the sriracha cream on them was just enough kick. We had a beer on tap which was good, though there wasn’t a huge selection and that’s ok there was just enough variety for everyone. They had a couple cocktail specials posted and full bar too.The sign warned outside for staffing shortage and to be patient which is to be expected now a days. However, our server/bartender was fabulous and the food came out hot and fresh.Prices were very reasonable and the vibe was lively but also comfy. I’ll definitely be back.Oh and they are closed Tuesdays. If you really love tacos, get them elsewhere on Tuesday and double down that week because they have $2 tacos on Wednesday instead!“
