“We stopped in because it’s hard finding seafood in the area in the winter season. The restaurant looks really cool with all the ocean decor! We ordered 3 captains platters and some clam chowder! The sea food was fantastic for the price! The only thing that I disliked was the clam chowder! It was really watery, cold and unseasoned. Other than that we all loved the seafood! It’s really impressive for being nowhere near the ocean! We will definitely be returning!“
“Since Knotty Pine is less than a mile from us, we eat there often. The menu doesn't change often which aggravates me but the specials are changed regularly which helps. Some good, some so so. The staff are great and friendly. Some nights the dining room is not open so the wait for the bar is too long. Needs to open more often than Thursday-Sunday especially in summer months!“
“La Boca is the beat restaurant in Wolfeboro, and likely in the Lakes region. We had the 4 course fixed menu and were enchanted with each course. The amouse bouche to start and cheese platter at the end were also divine. Amazing to find such gourmet dishes and presentation in this area. This restaurant is a MUST visit.“
“We used Marker 21 for both our rehearsal dinner/welcome reception and after party for our wedding. The food was INCREDIBLE, the staff was amazing- they kept the drinks flowing all night both nights. They had delicious kids meals for my daughter and nieces. Everybody raved about the Mac n cheese bites, the street corn salad, and the carne asada fries. i can’t say enough good things. Josh and Nicole are amazing at what they do- they were great at communicating with me, helping me make menu choices that would pair well, they were warm and inviting and you could really tell they love what they do. “Went there kind of by mistake. We thought we were going to the golf course restaurant , which had already close for the day. This restaurant is on the entrance road. It is kind of like what the name implies. Nicely decorated and quite informal, with a 10 or 15 seat bar of to the side. The have a pretty varied menu and some different appetizers. I found their prices to be quite moderate. I didn’t have them, but steak tips were $22.95. We were not really hungry, so we split a pizza and a appetizer. Plenty to eat and good. It’s about a pretty 45 minute drive from Standish. A nice convertible or bike ride. Will go back.“
“We arrived in time for our 6pm reservation and it took a while for our server to find us. Not sure why, but once she arrived and introduced herself it was smooth sailing. Wine and appetizers (brussel sprouts) were excellent and the service and kitchen were very quick to get our food out to us. We had meatloaf dinner and prime rib. Both were excellent! “B’s has some of the best food in town. I’m a frequent flyer. Try some of the refrigerated meals to reheat. I’ve had some fantastic beef stroganoff, Korean beef bulgoki, chicken shawarma, beef stew. The wraps are all good, chicken crunch wraps, and phat wraps. And they’re recently expanded their walk in beer cave with a good selection for a small market. Excellent!“
“We were happy to find a place that had buck a shuck oysters close to home. The atmosphere is perfect. Cozy, classy, with a wide open view of the lake. The cocktails were amazing. Absolutely perfect. We didn't try much of the menu because we were gorging on oysters and tacos, but will be back soon to try the rest! Not sure how we missed this unassuming space. We've lived down the road for 20 years.“

“We were visiting from warm Arizona and went to Mountainview Station. In a word PHENOMINAL!!!! I could not believe how amazing the food was. Being originally from NH and missing great seafood what a treat this place was. First off, the fish chowder. Absolutely the best I've had. So fresh, so flavorful and so damn good. 10 out of 10!!! The whole belly fried clams were perfection, so fresh, perfectly fried and so delicious!!! And the onion rings, home made and perfectly fried. And the home made lemon pie was to die for, made by our terrific server, Kathy, who was also terrific. Damn what a great meal!!!“
