“UPDATE 2/27/24- After a few good experiences we brought some out-of-town guests. Several of the food items were cold or barely heated and had to be sent back. It was kind of embarrassing after telling our guests what a great place it is, disappointing....PREVIOUS REVIEW I expected tender, juicy, smokey, meat with a good bark from a barbecue restaurant. What I didn't expect was the surprise of smoked maple sugar granules in the oysters, a delicious fiddlehead relish with the coffee rubbed smoked pork belly, and the grilled pound cake, probably the best dessert I have had in years! Very attentive service as well. Wow!“

“My only real critique is that the steaks tend to be cut a little thinner than at competition's strak houses. My medium rare steak was more on the rare side which to me is more acceptable than less rare. “We came with a large party of 12 to celebrate completing a Ragnar race. Mike and his staff were able to accommodate our big party without a reservation and made sure our needs were met, despite being short staffed. The service was stellar and the food was amazing. Mike checked in with us numerous times throughout the night and went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we could possibly need. If you're in town, I absolutely recommend you stop in and try their delicious local seafood. Consider this comment 12 5-star reviews!“

“Had the prime rib special, it was a great price and a great cut cooked just right. The asparagus was grilled with a nice slight char. The staff was great. My side salad was chilled perfectly with a good portion of dressing. My only "little" complaint, the little square bowl it was packed into, resulted in a lot of the salad falling out onto the table no matter what I did. Everything else was perfect for myself and the rest of my party. If in the area I would visit again but ask for a larger bowl to put my side salad in.Great food·Great value·Creative cocktails“

“Well its always loud, and tonight is very crowded, but we got in no problem. Margaritas were delicious . My rib eye was dry, and carrots were not really cooked. Still hard. Our waiter was excellent, very caring and checked on us frequently, very good“

“Outstanding bbq! We have driven by several times but never had time to stop until today. We were there right when they opened. No wait. We ordered turkey, brisket, Mac and cheese and baked beans to go! Everything was excellent. We typically lean towards bbq if we go out to eat and have had bbq at many places and this place is legit. Excellent food, good portion sizes and delicious. We will definitely be back when we are in the area again!“
