“I tell people "I don't like cupcakes" when cupcakes appear. I never have, until now! I was just gifted a box of these cupcakes. Holy moly! Delicious and beautiful! If all cupcakes were like these, my mind would be changed. The chocolate buttercream was both chocolaty and buttery! The cake itself was a nice texture and tasty. The exact opposite of what makes supermarket cupcakes icky. These cupcakes were a revelation!“
“Definitely the best bakery in Salem! Everything I have ordered from Sugar Love is delicious. The cupcakes and cakes are amazing, the frosting is light and fluffy and not overly sweet. Highly recommend the cinnamon buns! They are very accommodating and friendly and always have cakes on hand for walk in purchase.“
“I love this place. As someone who follows a keto way of life, I really appreciate the keto selection, although small, at this bakery. At first I thought xylitol may give me issues but I was surprised there was no distress. Please remember when shopping here that sugar free does not mean low carb. Only keto can really be that. Sugar free is in everything but they use flour blend for the non-keto items. If you have questions about sugar free and keto stuff, let me know.“
“I have been buying cakes n goodies from Brian for years my Favorite are his chocolate moose whoopee pies .I purchased a,cake today for My mom inlaw it was a strawberry mouse cake it was absolutely delicious my new favorite kudos to BrianShe said it was deliciousThanks“
“Our waitress has an awesome personality. But, the place itself seems slow - it "appears" to be adequately staffed, but it's like they all appear at once and then dissappear for long lengths of time. So, the service was very slow, but when they appeared, they were extremely “
“I can’t recommend this bakery highly enough! They make absolutely beautiful and delicious cakes for special occasions. I ordered a dino themed cake and a mermaid cake for my daughter’s past two birthdays and everyone was so impressed! So much detail was put into the decorations.“
“This historic pastry, bakery and pizzeria by the slice, with over a century of tradition, is renowned for its frozen pizzas and unique sweet tomato sauce. However, for an Italian palate, there are some questionable choices: the addition of sugar in tomato sauce and the idea of freezing pizza are considered almost sacrilegious, not to mention pineapple on pizza, mentioned here to emphasize the culinary heterodoxy. These choices negatively affect my rating. Despite this, customers seem to appreciate these peculiarities, even if perhaps they are the same ones who don't disdain ketchup on pasta. I respect the preferences of others and I congratulate the family who have been able to preserve their business for more than a century.“
“My son and I decided to check out this new restaurant-so glad we did! We were seated at a high table in the bar area. I really like the atmosphere at Foundation. Our servers were very pleasant and helpful with our questions. Being craft beer drinkers, we were pleased with the selection. In fact, I was delighted to be able to enjoy a pint of Wormtown's Blizzard of 78-one of my favorite winter brews. There is a full bar. Rob & I shared all the food we ordered so we could sample a wide variety. All were excellent. We had Braised Short Ribs, Arancini, Pecan Pear Salad, Sweet Potato Gnocchi, and still had room to share a Snickers Dessert. Since we were sharing, all of our selections came out from the kitchen split, which was a nice touch. I am looking forward to returning to Foundation kitchen + bar in the near future.“
“Far and away the best local, most friendly, very hospitable, really good healthy ingredients, a wide variety with lots of choices on the menu, kinda place. Staff are always friendly, helpful, accommodating, professional. West Village is a hidden gem, a real treat to take visitors from out of town, for breakfast, coffee, a delight, just charming. What can I say, terrific atmosphere, neighborly and right here..." in our neighborhood. In your neighborhood....yes who are the people in your neighborhood....they're the people that you meet each day."Its just that kind of place:) A delight. So happy that you are in our neighborhood. MWParking: Plenty of parking out back, there are 2 entrances.“
“Our experience was amazing. Carina was able to make an incredible cake to a picture My daughter had with short notice, and a very reasonable price. She communicated with us from the first call numerous times, to assure that we would get the ideal cake for our needs. She and her product were absolutely the tops.“
“Cozy, friendly breakfast and lunch cafe. The focus is bakery and bread, but I dont skip the Java here. Their late is on par, if not better, than Nero or Starbucks. There are few dairy-free options, but the entire place is gluten-free—a nice variety of breakfast items, sandwiches, and desserts. Smoothies are also on the menu which along with a healthy bowl is for another day. I am looking forward to supporting this small local biz again.Dietary restrictions: All gluten-free, but only a few dairy-free options.“
“Our first time there and we had breakfast sandwiches with delicious drinks. Then left with delicious, uniques flavored cupcakes (strawberry cheesecake and dirty tiramisu) and French macaroons. Celebrated an early Valentine’s Day there. Also, the staff is incredibly nice and helpful Would highly recommend“
“Troy’s is a nice, clean dining option in an area that doesn’t have a whole lot of clean-eating types of restaurants. The staff is always very polite and attentive, the sweets are tasty but not too greasy/oily, and the smoothies, overall, are great and full of whole ingredients.Where I think Troy’s could improve:The Derry location doesn’t have price transparency. You have to ask how much different things cost, which is a bit silly in 2024.On a couple of occasions I have gotten fairly large/hard chunks of what I think are peanut shells in my smoothie. This may be part of the price of consuming raw ingredients, but I wanted to warn others as some of the pieces have been very hard and are likely capable of cracking a tooth. The burrito (which I had at the Londonderry location) can be a little too sloppy/messy. If you’re like me and you don’t like burritos drenched in sauces because you think it kind of ruins the flavor (and structure) of the burrito, make sure to order with light/no aioli, guac, and coconut cheddar.“
“Battlegrounds is a cool little coffee shop right on the heart of downtown Haverhill. They have all sorts of fun coffee flavors and their own beans for sale. The baristas were very quick and friendly, and the atmosphere is a typical cozy coffee shop with couches and tables to choose from. We loved that we were able to sit on the couches by the window and watch it snowing while we drank our coffees (which were nothing too special, but were still good). We would come back here again if we were in the downtown Haverhill area.“
“First time here but new about this place for years now. Stopped by in the morning to grab a donut and seen they did breakfast sandwiches so I got a bacon egg and cheese on a roll and a blueberry donut. I enjoyed every bite of both highly recommend.“
“Tried for the first time today. Pictures looked decent online. Wanted a smoothie and a sandwich. Everything was very* good. Mostly the sandwich...I've never had a chicken wrap that good of any kind. Flavorful as it gets and juicy chicken. Paid 20$ out the door with tip. The cost is well worth the quality. Will be back way more often to try other menu items.“
“Man if I'm gonna be honest the pizza is good with a good price and the wings and macaroni salad is pretty good too, open 24 hours and sells smoking accessories, not gonna lie this makes me feel at home back in new york city. I recommend you go and check it out for yourself“
“Amazing food. Best chicken I've ever had and the mofongo was delicious. Doritos nachos were like a party in my mouth! Portions are great and Im too full to try everything we ordered, but the jibaritos and empanadas look delicious too. Vibe was fun and the people were great.“
