“Did you ever try KOA Pies on A st. In Southie. They we're billed as Australian meat pies but we're really derived from the English Pork Pie. They had an array of different meat filled buttery pastry shelled hand held warm savory pillows of goodness. My favorite was the Irish Beef Stew Pie. Sadly, they closed as well as the one in Eastie. I was lost. Now I'm found. It was an hour ride but I'd do it again. Thwaite's in Methuen. They were sold out of a bunch I wanted to try. I went too late in the day. They did have their signature Pork Pie. I grabbed a couple others, hamburger and onion, chicken pot pie, etc.... the pork pie was in my hand before I got back in the car. Dense perfectly cooked pie crust encased a juicy ( not too much ) spicy ( again, not too much ), ground seasoned pork. It needed nothing. No salt nor pepper nor sauce. Worth the trip. The world is right again.“
“First time here and it did not disappoint at all! I got the Vietnamese iced mocha coffee with whipped cream and mocha drizzle. I also got the egg and cheese croissant with chicken sausage. The presentation was fantastic but taste was even better. Regardless of me being the only customer on site at the time, the service was excellent and extremely fast. I was in and out in less than 2 minutes with the food and drink. I would definitely go back and try all the other flavors for coffee and pastry!“
“I can only vouch for the cookies so that's all I can review. I tried 4 different kinds, Chocolate chip, sugar, peanut butter and white macadamia. Cookies were good size and priced comparative to other shoppes at $2.25 a cookie. Wife and kids thought they were excellent as did I. I would highly recommend them. I looked at the other pastries in the cases and there were some phenomenal looking desserts. I'll definitely be going back to try some different things based on my initial experience.“
“The rye is fantastic and just to my taste. Delicious breads and sweets, and a small selection of Russian goods, including fermented cabbage/carrot, kvass, salted fish, caviar spread, quince jam, sour cherry jam, candies, shashlik spices. There is a small section of handmade knitwear too. Friendly proprietor, very clean and bright shop. All in all a very pleasant stop to make in your day. Please support this local business!“
“I tell people "I don't like cupcakes" when cupcakes appear. I never have, until now! I was just gifted a box of these cupcakes. Holy moly! Delicious and beautiful! If all cupcakes were like these, my mind would be changed. The chocolate buttercream was both chocolaty and buttery! The cake itself was a nice texture and tasty. The exact opposite of what makes supermarket cupcakes icky. These cupcakes were a revelation!“
“Crumble cookies are great, but a little pricey, this location was extremely busy when I visited, waiting over an hour for the cookies, and they ran out of 3 different cookies after I placed my order, so they couldn't fulfill the order properly, they ended up giving me 4 of the same cookies.Parking: Large shopping plaza, plenty of parking available“
“Wow. George's is simply the greatest, and throughout the years they have consistently been incredible. Always happy to assist, quite hospitable, and offering both ready-made meals as well as everything required to cook them oneself. In addition, we offer bakery services. I want to say thank you for consistently going above and beyond my expectations.“
“I highly recommend Chickadee Hill Cakes! They recently did our wedding cake and it came out amazing! They made the whole process flow easy and made choosing our cake simple! We had a sit down consultation with Chickadee Hill Cakes first where we did cake testing and picked out our cake design. The owner even drew out what our cake would look like! Our cake was delivered to our venue the day of our wedding and it looked beautiful.“
“Everything she touches is delicious and beautiful!! Her pastries, chocolate covered strawberries and baklava are as mouthwatering as they are gorgeous to see. I recommend maya gourmet and her beverages, croissants, and cakes. Go try something and you’ll be back for more ! She is a hidden gem.“
“Ordered an Italian rum cake for my moms birthday, the very nice older gentleman I can only assume to be the owner checked me out, he told me they don’t water down their rum and they make their own whipped cream and boy did it show! This is was the best rum cake I’ve ever had!! It was so moist and delicious! 10/10!!“
“We stumbled in here looking for a place to eat and get coffee. No coffee but the best meal we’ve had in a long time. The owner was so sweet and gave my daughter some cookies while we waited. We got a falafel, zaatar, and meat pie. It was all amazing. And the customer service was above and beyond. We live in NH but we were down in Mass for some shopping but we will definitely come down here again to eat. Their cakes look amazing but we only tasted the cookies.“
“Exceeded our expectations! From the moment we contacted Livi’s we were hooked. The cupcakes were gorgeous and decorated with exquisite detail. Beautiful AND so delicious Thrilled and will definitely be ordering again for our next special occasion“
“Definitely the best bakery in Salem! Everything I have ordered from Sugar Love is delicious. The cupcakes and cakes are amazing, the frosting is light and fluffy and not overly sweet. Highly recommend the cinnamon buns! They are very accommodating and friendly and always have cakes on hand for walk in purchase.“
“Our experience was amazing. Carina was able to make an incredible cake to a picture My daughter had with short notice, and a very reasonable price. She communicated with us from the first call numerous times, to assure that we would get the ideal cake for our needs. She and her product were absolutely the tops.“
“Elizabeth bakes one of the best cakes I've ever had in my life. Our wedding was almost 2 years ago and we still think about the cake frome time to time. The cake not only did it taste good, but it also looked amazing. She incorporated elements from our wedding, talked to our florist, and baked the most delicious cake. I remember asking to have the passionfruit flavor in the cake a little bit stronger as I like bold flavors, and she delivered just that. We had extra from the wedding that we were gonna save for our anniversary and we (just me and my husband) finished everything within a week ?“
“I first tried there cake at a wedding over 2 years ago. Everyone went for seconds, including me. I’m not a cake lover but I love their icing.I did buy the roses myself, and they were kind enough to place them.If you order a cake like this, make sure it has good structure and take another person to pick it up. Our did collapse, but we were still able to serve it and the guests loved it.This is a 40min drive from my place, but so worth it. Fredy and Dominga are so sweet and lovely, it was a pleasure meeting them!“
“I love walking from my apt to this farm shop on sunny mornings for a delicious fresh muffin and a pint of their amazing banana milk. They have banana and strawberry milks that always deliver on freshness and flavor. There is also an amazing selection of pantry goods like fun dips and jellies/jams. I also enjoy their frozen pies, especially the Shepard's pie. From local meats to fresh veggies to kombucha, they've got it all at great prices. In the summer, the freshly made ice cream from the milk produced by their cows is always a great treat too!“
“Great experience and cake! Super responsive, took our order on pretty short notice, and delivered to us in Dracut! Very good cake! A lot of the custom cakes I've tried over the years look cool but don't taste good. Not this one! It's what you imagine cake should be! Our son also loved his smash cake! We will definitely order again!“
“We would 100% recommend this bakery for some delicious, homemade Greek treats. Everything is presented beautifully and you can tell made with love.I was driving to Vermont and wanted to pick up something nice for a friend doing me a favor. I was the copilot looking at bakeries and feeling really disappointed. So many bakeries did not open until 9 or 10am. I was about to give up when I saw a Greek Bakery in Manchester that was open and looked delicious. I decided we should give it a try. When you first walk in there is a door with a decal on it. It's was not clear if it was the entrance but we were excited. We walked through a little hallway and were greeted by the sweetest women. We saw delicious treats behind us but were trepid because it said wholesale bakery. None the less she was so excited to show us what she had to offer. You can purchase single pieces! We purchased Tiropita (traditional greek pie) and Spanikopida. Along with Baklava and another fancy desert and some cinnamon cookies.“
“This didn't appear to be a set of orchards that you could explore on foot, at least when I stopped by the other week, but rather a well-stocked farm store along a busy commercial road. If anything, I found this setup even better than outdoor orchards because it's open year-round and because it was so huge and comprehensive.Inside, you'll find a massive bakery area with plenty of pies, cookies, muffins, scones, breads, cakes, and, yes, apple cider donuts. I stopped by just before the holiday and they were doing a roaring business in reserved pies and cakes. The deli area also offers "farm to table" lunches every weekday, and the rest of the store is comprehensive enough to meet most of your grocery needs. There's tons of fresh produce, fresh meats, ready-made apps and entrees, wine, beer, cider, and gourmet items. If I lived nearby, I'd be here all the time. An excellent find that I'm glad I visited, even after apple season, thanks to a Google search I did of local orchards.“
“This location is always consistent with their pies, I drive down from Manchester for a full tray on a regular basis. I absolutely love their pizza.Parking: Convenient store Parking lot plenty of spaceWheelchair accessibility: Ramps available“
“I arrived at 11am on Sunday but they weren't open even though it said they opened at 10am. They ended up opening at 12noon. My roommate told me about this place and that it has a wicked good pineapple cream dessert that's to die for I guess so I had to try it! And OMG was it awesome! ???? YUMMY! ???? I ordered some chicken fingers w/fries, 2 coconut freeze pops, pineapple cream cake dessert w/a grape soda! The chicken fingers were ok ???? but they didn't have any sweet & sour or BBQ sauce to dip em in! ????♀️ The lady that took our order seemed nice... ( She didn't seem to speak much English so luckily my roommate was with me... She speaks Spanish! ????As for the parking situation well, it's free but u gotta park on the street! ????♀️“
“I have been buying cakes n goodies from Brian for years my Favorite are his chocolate moose whoopee pies .I purchased a,cake today for My mom inlaw it was a strawberry mouse cake it was absolutely delicious my new favorite kudos to BrianShe said it was deliciousThanks“
“I love this place. As someone who follows a keto way of life, I really appreciate the keto selection, although small, at this bakery. At first I thought xylitol may give me issues but I was surprised there was no distress. Please remember when shopping here that sugar free does not mean low carb. Only keto can really be that. Sugar free is in everything but they use flour blend for the non-keto items. If you have questions about sugar free and keto stuff, let me know.“
“I found this little slice of Heaven-on-Earth by chance, after going to the sandblasting place across the street. What a special little gem of a store! I felt like a little kid again. The selection is unbelievable. Every possible delicious type of TastyKake I could get my hands on was there! I got a huge shopping bag chock full of boxes of cupcakes, krimpets, honey buns, marshmallow eggs for Easter, etc for only $21!! Everything is still perfectly fresh, yet a fraction of the cost of buying them in a supermarket. And most notably, the young lady working there was friendly, attentive, helped me find the Krimpets, was keeping busy organizing and fronting the shelves, and had excellent customer service. Plenty of easy-in, easy-out parking, including handicap accessible parking and sidewalk to enter. New Customer for life. Thanks!Parking: Plenty of free off-street parking and handicap accessible spots and sidewalk with a ramp for wheelchairs. Easy in/out parking lot off the main road. Well lit.“
“First time here but new about this place for years now. Stopped by in the morning to grab a donut and seen they did breakfast sandwiches so I got a bacon egg and cheese on a roll and a blueberry donut. I enjoyed every bite of both highly recommend.“
