Chris the hostess was wonderful, as well as the many servers who all willingly supported Gary, the owner, to provide the best service and culinary experience possible for his dinner guests. The menu is one of the best we have seen in the area with many international dishes, some with the labor intensive Indian nuances, and others just with downright phenomenal flavors. Although they have lots of standard fare for the UNadventurous eater, I would suggest you reach past your comfort zone and try some of the appetizers that jump out as potential winners...like the tuna tartare that with just a splash of Japanese Rice wine vinegar would be one of the best I have ever had, as well as the grilled Tandoori shrimp that is marinated in yogurt, ginger, cloves nutmeg, and dried mango; the grilled lamp chops that come with three perfectly grilled meaty garlicky chops that come with mango chutney, and the Haryali chicken Tikka- three huge plump boneless breast of chicken slices that are marinated in mint, yogurt, roasted cloves, green cardamom and star anise, and served with their famous tiger sauce and salsa. We also shared another marinated shredded beef dish special that had three beef croquette-shaped mounds that had such a umami of flavors I can't even replicate it in this review, but we thought it was just great. I would be remiss if I did not mention the creamy, silky crème brûlée that we enjoyed with a glass of Prosecco; a perfect encore to the phenomenal culinary treat we had just experienced with the appetizer medley. Sharing many apps is more fun we think, than committing to one big entree, so we suggest that you dash over to the Pittstown Inn TONIGHT, and tell them Debbie and Gene sent you....ask to meet Gary, the owner, who elegantly floats from table to table, touching each to greet them and to check later on as well to see if everything was to their liking. A true host from days gone by, this owner is the real deal whose passion for the hospitality business emulates from his constant smile from the joy he is getting from making his guests happy. You see that what fuels this man to keep opening his doors from year to year, despite the many hardships and setbacks life has dealt us all over and over, is his love for you, his loyal customer. He is a rare find, so I suggest you go and treat yourself to the real deal in dining. You will not be disappointed, and be sure to ask to meet Gary. He will make your visit complete. Kudos the phenomenal chefs I met as well, for their expertise and genuine ingenuity in designing a menu to please everyone. Can you tell we LOVE this place??????????“

“My three year old daughter and I went for lunch last week. It was such a treat! I ordered the delicious fried mozzarella (out of this world!) and had the chicken taco specials while my daughter had chicken tenders. Yummy!!!!! For dessert we had pumpkin pie gelato and the birthday cake cupcake. To die for! I highly recommend!“

Joy and Stephanie usually take care of me when I come in. I am treated more than just a customer, but like I'm family. “Most people see diners and get melancholy for the same bland and boring food, but that is where I will challenge you. Today, I was served the most flavorful dishes from any diner I have been to in my life. I will admit it was a very pleasant surprise and a very wholesome experience. The portion sizes were nice, they didnt overload the plates to make up for poor flavor, nor was it so exquisite that you had a simple morsel. All in all, the food was very well done showing both love of the food and the love of serving. As for the atmosphere, nothing too complex but nothing too simple, it showed a small piece of history from Clinton allowing for immersion and a peaceful environment. The waitress we had was very kind and knowledgeable about the menu as well as quick and precise with our requests!
All in all this restaurant has been put on my "visit again very soon" list. Such a pleasant experience and I'm excited for my next meal here.“

“Maid of Honor for my best friends wedding at The Farmhouse, and what a fantastic experience. From the day before rehearsal with Gina making us all laugh and calming our nerves, to the bridal attendant and day of staff being so warm and welcoming, we felt right at home. “Our granddaughter wanted Applebee’s for dinner, and when she’s with us, she always gets what she wants. I haven’t eaten at Applebee’s in probably over 10 years, and I have to say—I was pleasantly surprised. The food was very good, and our server was kind and friendly.

That said, there were a few small misses in terms of dining etiquette that kept the experience from being excellent. With just a little more attention to detail, the service could have really gone to the next level.

I realize Applebee’s isn’t a five-star restaurant, and what the server lacked in polish she definitely made up for with her personality. Still, to give an example: we ordered dessert and coffee. The coffee arrived without a spoon to stir in cream and sugar. When we asked for one, we didn’t receive it until the dessert was brought out. I ended up using a knife to stir in the meantime.

These are minor details, of course, but they’re the kind of small touches that can really elevate the guest experience.“
