“I was here when they first opened. it was not really "for me". Recently tried it again and loved it. I am vegetarian and my friend is vegan. we found options. Really enjoyed the eggplant sandwich. Would love more options (saw on one of the burger challenges a portobello on a burger, so loose the beef and just do the portobello) then I would definitely be there more often. Plan to check out the events that they have in the winter. So nice to have a quality and nice place locally to go out to at night.“

“Came with friends to Portside to surprise my friend, Michael Cappetto, who was performing that night. Was never here before but I have to say the food was awesome, as was the entertainment! Michael is an amazing singer / guitarist and I highly suggest going to Portside to see him and have some fantastic food!“

“My husband recently hosted a bunch of old college buddies and their wives for our wedding! Since about 25 of them were visiting the Shore area for the first time, he wanted to make sure they experienced all the sights and sounds Monmouth County has to offer. Normally, finding something fun (and legal) for a large group of out-of-towners to do after midnight is a challenge—but not in Rumson! He took the whole crew to Murphy’s Tavern with the promise that they’d get a taste of a local legend: a good old-fashioned speakeasy tucked away in the basement of a house, right in the heart of a residential neighborhood. Needless to say, they had a blast! Whether you’re kicking off a weekend wedding celebration or just grabbing a late-night drink, we highly recommend popping into Murphy’s Tavern.“

“Casual Bayside eatery. Food good generally. Apps pretzel and Caesar salad favorites. Steak sandwich flavor good but some pieces of steak tough and chewy. Shrimp with Linguini excellent, spicy pepperoni pizza very good. Burger solid choice. We didn't have cocktails but many people around us were drinking.“

“We ordered dinner from Keelen’s tonight as we’ve done many times in the past. The two specials were incredible and our children’s food was awesome as always. “my husband and I have been coming to mjs for years whether it's for a lunch date or dinner with our kids MJS never disappoints. the food is always on point, no matter what we get it is always delicious. a few top favorites chicken Italiano sandwich, their homemade thousand island dressing for salads is out of this world, french dip is the best i've ever had. ahi tuna app to dye for! if ur lucky enough to get Emma as your server or Bartender you will not be disappointed she is always so personable attentive knows the menu really well and makes a mean expresso martini! she treats our kids like gold and keeps them entertained. Mjs is a well oiled machine run by the best manager I've ever seen. Dyan's attention to detail and making the place feel so welcoming and having everything that comes out of the kitchen on point she makes sure the servers and bartenders are very well trained. if she's there working she is always there greeting the guests and helping the staff make sure every guest has an amazing experience.She will also help you throw a sweet party and works with you to keep the price within your budget while giving you the best bang for your buck. she does an amazing job transforming the dining area into a great party space. I've had my son's christening, baby shower, birthday parties here in the dining room each time Dyan has gone above and beyond making sure everything was perfect. whether you are considering having a party or going to dinner or lunch do not pass MJS in Middletown up you will not regret it. & if you want a fun night out- Monday night bingo is always a hit or looking for something to do during NFL Sunday game day head to mjs it is an amazing atmosphere and great specials!“

“Crashed a private event and it was just my style. Might be stuffy in comparison to the bar around the corner, but otherwise seems like first class classical music and comfy couches for a celebratory drink. Can't comment on the food.
