“New Szechuan Kitchen is a decent Chinese restaurant, though the food is a bit on the greasy side for my liking. The flavors are generally good, but I found the dishes to be a bit overly oily.

That said, I do prefer the Bound Brook location 1,000 times more than this one. The flavor and consistency at the Bound Brook spot is much better in my experience.

Overall, New Szechuan Kitchen is an average Chinese restaurant. The food is okay, but nothing particularly remarkable. If you're in the mood for some classic Chinese fare, it might be worth a try, but I'd recommend the Bound Brook location over this one if you have the option.“

“This has been my only go to Chinese food since I tasted it well over a decade ago! It’s always fresh and the place is clean! The family is super friendly and will substitute whatever I ask for. The portions are plenty and we often have this as a family gathering:event. They also have amazing combination dishes, something for everyone. Plus they have a discounted lunch menu that’s a fantastic price 11-3 . I definitely recommend trying them out . Honestly, even with delivery and the next town over it’s always here very quickly. Every time I call up make an order it’s ready as soon as I walk in the door. They even have coupons on their paper menu plus they give free items with large orders such as soup, egg rolls or large sodas. Five stars from my entire family ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️“

“I go here a lot because it's close to home. Food is consistently really good. Prices on higher side but no bad. Service inconsistent. There is a younger girl there that isn't too friendly. Never greets you or smiles. Last month she rang up order wrong and was pissed. This past weekend I went to pick up order and when I got there it was wrong order. She clearly had an attitude problem about it! She has poor customer service skills but the restaurant has good food!“

“We went for the dinner. Food was good. The lady taking orders and serving food at the table was very nice & friendly. The place was clean. Their portion is very big so if you don’t have that much appetite, 2 people can eat from one order of Entree which is fantastic & prices are very reasonable.

“The pork lo mein special is to die for; first place I’ve found that puts long, juicy slices of pork in the lo mein instead of measly crumbs. The steamed dumplings are also very tasty. The ordering process was very easy and the food was made very quickly. Will come again.“

“I've always liked the food from China City 2, and I've never had a bad meal from here. Also, the lady is very nice and friendly. However, since the pandemic began in early-2020, their prices have gone through the roof!!! I understand, same thing could be said for supermarkets, gas, and the supply chain, but this is borderline insane pricing! Maybe their rent went up 75%? Not sure... Whatever the case may be, I used to be able to get a soup, egg roll, and some kind of chicken or beef and broccoli dish, with roast pork fried rice, for around $12. Now it's around $19. “I ordered food on 9.11.25 again after being disappointed with another Chinese takeout establishment. My food came to piping hot and my delivery was in a timely manner. The food was prepared fresh and I was extremely happy with the food and the service. We all as customers appreciate good quality with our food. I will continue to order from Hunan. Was looking for a new place to order Chinese food from and found them through a Google search.They have a convenient and easy to use ordering app. Placed my order through the app before I left work and it was ready when I arrived on my way home. Kept it simple and stuck to my normal choices of an egg roll, pork lo mein and General Tso chicken. Totally impressed! “I had to go to Morristown memorial hospital for a few tests and had to fast the night before. So once I got out at noon I was starving so I came to Cottage II.
I had a lunch special for $13.50. Shredded Schewan Beef, with fried rice and wonton soup and I ordered schwan Dumpling as an appetizer. All the food was very fresh. Especially dumplings, out of this world. The waitress was a young girl , you can tell did not want to be there. She gave me an attitude when I asked for more napkins lol! Ask for the shrimp and broccoli and tell them to put Hunan spicy sauce on it, it's the best. I recommend telling them to undercook the broccoli so it's crunchie.. owners are amazing, great service and really care. “For once, a Chinese takeout restaurant is aptly named.

When my family and I crave Chinese takeout, this is our go-to spot. Not only do they churn out large takeout orders in good time (our orders are typically quite large, and we've never had an issue in the thirty or so times we've ordered in the past), but it's always hot, well-seasoned, and well-prepared.

Our orders typically include a 'something-and-broccoli' dish, and they always manage to cook the broccoli to perfect tenderness. I'll also add that this is the only takeout place (ever) where I've actually liked the sesame chicken. In most places, it's either too sweet, mushy, or overly sauced; here, it's dependably delicious.

We especially love the combination plates on the menu, which offers certain entrees with a choice of fried rice or lo mein and a side of egg rolls.“

“Went there on 6/22/2022, Under New Management, Just Re-Open on Tuesday 6/21/2022. Ordered Chicken with Broccoli with Garlic sauce and Fried chicken wings. Food was great finally they hired a better cook, chicken wing is tasty and juicy, chicken and broccoli is perfectly cook and the sauce has garlic flavor. Highly recommend this local take-out place, for delivery use Grubhub. They are open from Tuesday-Sunday 11 am to 9 PM, closed every Monday“
