“I had never tried out this takeout setup in Belleville. You make your order online and pick it up in a locker. Lots of Uber Eats, Grubhub, and other drivers will be passing through.I was enticed by the burgers but then something compelled me to try the falafel burger. I expected a big falafel patty but instead there were about 8-10 falafels on a bun loaded with all the burger fixins. I loved it. It just hit the spot.I saw different options for sides that I thought would replace the fries, including samosas. I got both! Samosas were nothing unusual and the fries were quite nice.I ended up eating everything in my car. I do not recommend; there is a lot of sauce!I would be willing to order from here again.“

“Finally visited this neighborhood restaurant last night and it was nicely decorated for Valentine’s Day and they gave all female diners a long stemmed rose. As they were busy, service was slow, which is understandable under the circumstances. The food was very fresh and the eggplant with tomato, creamy hummus, lamb chops and chicken shish were very good, but some dishes were not as flavorful as described by other reviewers and in my experience with this cuisine. (But this is not a deal breaker). I expect it might be even better on a regular night.That said, the high ceilings, exposed brick, comfortable furniture, tasteful Turkish decor and the red and gold paint, created a warm and inviting dining room with lovely background music. Our server was friendly and the owner stopped by to check on us after it began to quiet down. This restaurant is a nice addition to my neighborhood and I look forward to going again soon.“

“Awesome place. I always get lunch here. Everything is good but my favorite is the Chicken pita thing. It's grilled chicken with lettuce, tomato, onion, and honey mustard. It's very very delicious. They have tables but it's very cramped and if youre going to eat there don't expect privacy, they tables are super close together.“

“Always passed by, finally decided to try this place. Ordered online, but when I came in I had to wait for a few minutes, but while I waited the owner gave me food to try and was nice, and the inside has a nice style to it so it's very relaxing to sit. When I got my food, everything was great. The Greek fries has a nice crisp feel, and taste great plain or with the cheese and spices added to them. I had the lamb and beef gyro and the meat has to be one of the best gryo meats I have had: it's soft, juicy and chewy and tastes amazing. Will definitely return.“

“Amazing food and service. Everything is stellar, this is literally an experience. We did the tasting menu and did 5 courses for $69. Seafood is perfect, risotto is perfect- the duck is something you don't see on many menus and was incredible. Tonight they had venison which literally melted in my mouth Scallops perfectly seared, and then a lemon dessert and a chocolate ganache. You absolutely can not beat this for the price.“

“I found this place by doing a Google search for breakfast close by after my son had an early morning hockey game. It was a cold, snowy morning and we stepped inside to a warm atmosphere and very welcoming staff. The chef, who I assume is the owner was so kind and friendly. The server was so pleasant and didn’t miss a beat taking care of everyone and answering the phone for take out orders too. We ordered the Turkish Breakfast, BEC sandwich, Nutella pancakes and a mushroom omelette. The food was delicious! Would absolutely, positively recommend! Can’t wait to go back!“

“I bumped into this shop shortly after they opened not too long ago. I was extremely pleased with my experience. Excellent juicy lamb and chicken gyro sandwiches, salads, and rice platter! All halal, too.They also serve other dishes. Their menu is not extensive, but I prefer this, since everything is made freshly and their turnover is really fast. The salads are very fresh, everything is juicy and their portions are very generous. The gyro sandwiches and platters include a can of soda, so everything is in my opinion very competitively priced.The people in the store are very kind and attentive, and I have become a frequent visitor who is greeted with a smile. When showing the place to a visiting family, who praised the platter the “best gyro” they ever had, the owner gave one of the kids an extra platter to enjoy later. I think this speaks for itself.Kid-friendliness: High chairs, very casual, very kid friendly operators.“

I am not usually a feta fan but the whipped spicy feta was soooooo good and the pita with it was perfectly cooked! Caesar salad was super tasty and the coq au vin was amazing too with a reallly flavorful sauce. Plating was well thought out and I felt great leaving this meal. “I found this gem when I was in Jury duty in a close by court.Their beef shawarma meal was great and the hummus was really nice. Next day I tried their chicken shawarma which was great as well, subtle crispy wrap and juicy chicken but the surprise was their Falafel. Likely the best I have tried in 10 years, nice size, thin crispy layer and softer and juicy inside.Fairouz songs which are not too loud makes the meal even better :)Will definitely be back if I am around.“

We were in the area for my son’s sports activity and instead of his usual chipotle or chick fil a after practices, we decide to try a Mediterranean place with kabobs and falafels. Everything was cooked after order was taken so we had to wait 15 mins but food was fresh and flavorful and had huge portions. I’ve gotten almost everything on the menu (today was Shashuka & a latte for me, blueberry pancakes for the kiddo) and every item is so solid. You really can’t go wrong. “I’ve been to one other Nish Nush location before: this one’s much nicer (in terms of ambience and service), but the food appears to be regularly great!I had their deluxe sandwich this time, and it was - literally- overflowing with all the good stuff: lots of protein and veggies. It comes with pickles, tahini, and crushed chili on the side (I finished all of those too, because the center of the sandwich tends to be a bit dry).I love that their menu is entirely vegan! Also met the nicest staff! Dining here made for a most pleasant evening - I’ll definitely be back.“

“Unfortunately, the general impression of this Nish Nush branch has diminished in recent years. The staff is no longer lively and friendly, and unfortunately the chilled drinks are not really cold. Overall there is a lot less going on - the shop seems to have lost some of its regular customers.Regardless, they still have the best falafel I know here (and in the one remaining branch). And as long as it stays that way, I will keep coming back.“
