“*Full disclosure, I do know the owner personally, but my opinion of the food etc is without bias.*
I had the pad thai with vegetables and spring rolls. The order was via delivery, so the spring rolls did lose a lot of the crunch, but still very much delicious.
The pad thai was excellent and portion size was great (if not a little too much, but just meant I had more for later)
I look forward to eating again from Plue, and highly recommend you try this quaint, authentic Thai food out.
Also, big should out to Pete and his husband!“

“Easily one the best Thai restaurants ever. Everything tasted great and fresh. We waited for 10 mins only, which was totally fine given the Friday evening business. The atmosphere was great. A little less space to walk around your table but that didn't bother us. We ordered green curry, khao soi chicken, chicken curry puff, pad kee mao (drunken noodles), Thai chicken wings, chives pancake, and Mango Mousse cake. Definitely the best green curry we had in a while. Khao soi chicken was another favorite one that we had. Thai chicken wings tasted great with these two curries (instead of their sweet chili sauce). Their drunken noodles tasted really good too, except the quantity was less for the price. Kids loved their mango mouse cake and all other food. The cost of the food was pretty reasonable. Overall, a wonderful experience for the family and I highly recommend this place.
Parking: Parking could be hard to find. We parked a few streets away and walked up the hill.
Kid-friendliness: Very kid-friendly.“

“I gave this place five stars for one reason only: I wanted the people to read my review. If I gave one star, the review would be pushed back to the end. My review... Worst food we ever had in our lives!! Bland and expensive. It came with none of the toppings we ordered!! Tasteless and dry. I suspect the food was kept in the heat for most of the day. STAY AWAY FROM THIS S...HOLE!!!! It should be reported and closed. I can only imagine the unsanitary conditions of the place. Restaurants that do not care about the quality of their products do not care about hygiene.“

“I basically live a block away from this place yet I’ve never gone in. But this time I did and it was lovely! A sweet old man was my waiter and he was very patient with us. It’s a mix of Thai and Vietnamese food, so there were plenty of options. Decorations made me feel like I was back home due to the wooden shutters haha. It’s a good stop for lunch. Quick and no frills.“

“Amazing food! My husband and I stopped by for Friday night dinner. We tried the fried calamari, Pad Kana Moo Grob (Sautéed crispy pork belly with chinese broccoli in garlic sauce.), Pork Chops Vegetable Garlic Sauce, crab fried rice and for dessert, the mango coconut sticky rice. All of it was just delicious! Highly recommend coming to try. Plus: BYOB“

Restaurant itself is a bit on the smaller side but I find it quaint & personal. One of my favorite go to restaurants. You won’t be disappointed if you choose to go. A++“

“We opted for Thai food as it’s a healthy cuisine. We were not expecting for the food to taste sooo yummy! Well-deserved awards (see image provided). Hands down, no one comes close. The calamari was fresh, lightly seasoned, with the right amount of “crispy.” The Bangkok Seafood is now my official go-to dish when I crave seafood. The portions were good and the servers were very attentive. They must’ve come to our table 4x to refill our tea cups with aromatic Jasmine Green Tea.
Refills are free.
Restaurant was very clean too.
Parking: We went on a Sunday so no parking meters to feed but they also have a large free parking lot in the back
Kid-friendliness: This is a family-friendly restaurant.“

“Found spot on google maps looking for something new to eat for lunch. the reviews were good, so coworker and I went over. only ate thai a few times so wasn't real familiar but figured we'd try something new. i ordered the pad thai with chicken and thai iced coffee. It was real good. so good that we ended up going back the next day in which i got the drunken noodles with chicken and tried the thai tea. very good. enjoyed even more than the pad thai. so good that I told my wife about the spot and now I have to bring some home for dinner today. so I'll be ordering for the third day in a row once i complete writing this review. lol.“

“Went for a Saturday lunch, right when they opened at noon. Lovely restaurant, with tables to hold about 20-30 guests, lots of nice Thai arts and crafts. The menu has a good variety of Thai dishes and drinks.
We started with some amazing appetizers, mussels and chicken satay were good, Tom yum Koong soup was incredible. Probably the best tom yum soup I had in the longest time. Such good mixture of the spice and citrus, with perfectly cooked shrimp. For entree we got the panang curry, duck curry and pineapple fried rice with squid. All were beautiful dishes. All tasted so good with the Thai curry, spice and vegetables. Duck curry is really recommended, for the tenderness of the meat mixed with the sauce. Not to mention all these items came out of kitchen in lightning speed.
Our server was really nice. She said to reserve on weekends if you plan to come for dinner, since it gets super busy.
Vegetarian options: Lots of vegetarian dishes like soup, noodles, salads available
Parking: Street parking available right in front of the restaurant“

“After my visit to Thailand, this is my favorite restaurant in New York. The food is affordable and flavorful. The space is so cozy and relaxing. Great for mommy & child outings. The service is good and the wait to order is not long. It is also great to order take out as the food arrives hot and holds the same flavor. My favorite platters are their fried rice, pad Thai, Thai ice tea, shrimp rolls, mango sticky rice and drunken noodles.
Kid-friendliness: They are very accommodating to kids.“

“I’ll start by saying everything i have ordered over the last few months has been delicious. The spring rolls are the best i have ever had, the green curry, pineapple fried rice and coconut shrimp are delish, Thai spicy wings are also a treat. One dish that really stands out is the clay pot rice. The sweetness of the sausage with the chicken and shrimp is awesome.
It’s not only the food that is good. My last order I picked up had the wrong rice in the bag. Before i got into my apartment they had called, told me what happened and said they were already making a new rice i could come exchange. Except i couldn’t because i was on baby duty and it was bed time for my boy. They were nice enough to deliver the right dish at no extra charge and didn’t even mention the second dish that now i have for tonight.
Consider me a regular. This is a quality restaurant through and through.“

“Ordered takeout for basil fried rice and the taste was pretty decent. Will definitely be back to try the curries. The workers seemed very nice. It’s right by the train station in the little corner so it’s definitely a hidden gem. I will say that parking may be limited because of commuting people parking in the lot. However around the area are plenty of paid parking spots.“

“Food was one of the best ever. Good quality and worth the price. Love the Thai Iced Tea, not too sweet. Spicy glass noodle salad is a must.I've been here twice.Got different server each time. Both of them wasn't really attentive.Hard to get their attention even it's not busy. Might consider just a take out next time so I don't have to waste money on tips when I barely get a service.“

“The crispy calamari was an excellent appetizer ($15 plus tax). Land is one of a few places that offer a lunch special ($13.50) on weekends. I had the Land salad and the fried rice with tofu. Both were decent, though I did find the general flavor profile (the dressing for the salad, the actual fried rice itself, and the dipping sauce for the calamari) to be on the sweet side.“

“They forgot my rice (a little difficult to enjoy the curry without rice). The pad thai wasn’t pleasant (too much in a small container so it made the noodles mushy). The chive sauce wasn’t diluted enough with water and vinegar, so it was about 90% straight soy sauce (too salty for a dipping sauce). The fried tofu did not have a nice, fluffy, light batter (it reminded me of frozen food that you would buy from a grocery store), and the tofu type was extra firm, which in combination of the breading and deep frying makes it too dry. The chive appetizer was good, but too greasy (meaning they haven’t changed the deep fryer oil yet). Personally, I would pass on this place. I did enjoy the thai salad since it had a peanut dressing. Delivery was free (from their website), so that was nice. Delivery was fast also (within 30 minutes). I liked the driver also walked the entire five flight of stairs to my apartment and was courteous. They offer many gluten-free options (however don’t forget soy sauce has gluten as I doubt they use gluten-free soy sauce). I will say my massamen curry and pumpkin dessert were really good.“

“I've never been in but I believe this is the same restaurant that was called Malii but during covid closed. I noticed last night a new name at the same location with the same menu was open. So had to try and confirm. It's the same AMAZING food!. Their beef stew is to die for. I was craving this dish for so long since they closed and finally today my taste buds got an amazing treat. I've had their green curry, pad thai, fried rice. All very good! But like I said, the beef stew is my fav. I do wish it had less fat. I know some people like fat on their beef but I'm the kind that I want it no were near my mouth. But its also what makes this dish so flavorful. That would be my only complaint thats minor, that it be more lean meat and less fat. But, thank you for reopening and bringing back all these wonderful dishes back to our neighborhood. I will go back to ordering from you weekly.“

“This was my first time eating here and I enjoyed it. The Watermelon cooler was delicious and refreshing. The appetizer sampler was very tasty. The lemon grass chicken was good but needed a bit more flavor for me. I will definitely go again and try a different dish.“

“I’ve always wanted to go inside but yesterday I decided to order for delivery. May I just mentioned how FRESH this food was. I ordered the Pangnag dish, you can choose your proteins with all dishes so I chose shrimp. I usually don’t trust places with shrimp but they’re decent sized, juicy, fresh and simply delicious.
The sauce wasn’t too spicy for those who aren’t into very spicy food (I am) they label items that are very spicy. The food has so much flavor, you could taste the savoriness, a hint of coconut and all of the herbs and spices. I paired it with the sticky rice, and spring rolls. The pangnag sauce was so good I used it for my spring rolls.
I can’t wait to go in person and tell them how wonderful their food is and also just to actually sit inside for once I love their food and their place looks so cozy and cute.
I 20/10 would recommend this place (not being dramatic), they have vegetarian and vegan options for those who don’t choose to eat meat, and they also have pescatarian options as well.“

From the whole fried fish to Thai Drunken noodles to the unbelievable pirogies I can’t wait to go back again. Every time we go we order a few different items to try something new. We went for dinner . They are always so kind to give you a sample of the delicious pickled items. The food is fresh made to order not fussy just down home cooking. The atmosphere is relaxed like being in grandmas kitchen. When your hankering for authentic Thai or Polish delicacies, this is the place to go. Reasonably priced for the huge portions. “I can't say enough good things about this place! From the moment we walked in, the staff was welcoming and provided top-notch service. Let's talk about the food – it was phenomenal. I tried the vegetable dumplings, which were a delightful mix of flavors and textures. The shrimp fried rice I had was fantastic, bursting with fresh, savory flavors. My husband had the curry puffs, and he couldn't stop raving about how light and flavorful they were. The portions were generous, especially the curry, which was so satisfying. “It was a cold rainy night so they were getting pounded by delivery requests which made the service kinda slow, they did apologize for it. Tilapia was really tasty and had plenty of both fish and veggies. Crispy pork belly was tasty too, fatty, but so is all pork belly. Samosas were quality, but I've had better. Special dishes were mostly $12.50 and traditional Thai dishes were around $10, so really great prices. Overall, I'd recommend Amster Thai.“

“The food at this adorable, tiny brightly colored Thai restaurant (take out only) is exceptional! Everything is fresh, delicious, made to order Thai food. Nothing is overly salty, too sweet or too fried. The Pad See Ew is addictive and the Penang Curry is beyond delicious. They are very accommodating with dietary restrictions. The staff is as lovely as can be. It is simply the best take out food around.“
