We hosted a large party for a truly special occasion at Trattoria Bolu on Saturday night, and I can't say enough good things. Gustavo and his entire staff were outstanding from the moment we began planning weeks in advance all the way through the end of the meal. Every detail was handled with care and professionalism.

We really put the kitchen to the test with a massive order all at once, and they delivered at the highest quality. I was shocked at how amazing the food was, especially given the size of our group.

It's the perfect spot for a family-style meal in a relaxed, comfortable environment. We will certainly be back to celebrate many more special occasions, and I can't recommend it enough. Thank you, Gustavo and team!“

“The first time I visited here was about 2 years ago. Incredible BBQ and Pickles. The Management and Staff are incredible, the BBQ, delicious. I lived in Kansas City (BBQ Capitol of the World), and in Florida for years. This restaurant would still be great anywhere because they have mastered not only a great product, but the staff and management have also mastered incredible Customers Service. It's been rated the best BBQ in NJ for several years. I would argue one of the best BBQ restaurants in the USA.“

“This restaurant is an amazing find! The menu is varied and much of it is reasonably healthy food. The service is attentive enough without being overbearing. There are some outdoor tables for when the weather is nice.

We tried the turkey avocado sandwich and the eggs Benedict. Both of them were amazingly good. The brewed coffee and the cold brew were also excellent.“

“Coming here for years. Some food items have gone down in quality, namely the pork chop and mac and cheese. Pork chop used to be really cooked to perfection and moist, however lately it has been dried out and overcooked. Mac and cheese lost the amount of cheese it usually has on it, and noodles were undercooked the previous two times. Must have changed the cooks in kitchen, who knows.“

“We LOVED our experience here. We are huge fans of Indian food but have trouble finding places that are lighter on the amount of oil and salt. Govinda's ended up being perfect. They are only open Saturdays for lunch. They have a buffet option and a to-go option, which provides a large portion of every item available that day. Our favorite parts were the dal palak and the mixed vegetable curry. There was a good mix of vegan items and items with dairy. Everything was extremely fresh and perfectly seasoned, with pops of flavor from mustard seeds, bay leaves, cinnamon sticks, etc. We can't wait until we're in the area again so we can make another visit.“

The Northern Italian menu which changes to focus on only the freshest ingredients has a little Swiss influence and is presented with an artistic touch and personal care. Last evening I hosted sixteen business associates in the back room which has an iron gate for privacy. Filippo presented a five course meal which blew everyone away followed by him playing a few songs on the Piano. The Chicken or Cod dishes were pan seared to perfection. daFilippo's is a BYOB restaurant which I Love. My wife remarked how clean the restrooms are kept. Plenty of parking in the rear of the building. In closing, if you are looking for a family owned, unique restaurant where the owner chef touches every plate to ensure perfection then this is the place to make a reservation.“

“When we decided to make a reservation here I was concerned because the parking situation in Madison is difficult. IlGoccino has parking in the rear of the restaurant so it was fine. The staff were warm and welcoming and they honored our reservation on arrival. The food was excellent - the salmon cooked to perfection and the chicken was tender and delicious as well. The waitress was wonderful The problem was that my husband is all about bread which is not served at the restaurant. He asked for bread and was brought a small plate of filone crisps. I didn't see the bill until the next morning and saw a $3.95 charge for avocado. The charge was actually for the crisps. No heads up that there would be a charge however small. Not appetizing the way it was served. Not classy.“
