The friendly owner and staff make you feel welcome and at home. The food experience is not missing anything. You can tell/ taste the ingredients are not only fresh but better quality, providing that unmatched taste sensation. My grandmother always said, the taste is in the ingredients and patience in cooking them. So, yeah maybe the prices are a little more than your typically chain food restaurant, but isnt it worth every penny to want something that is unmatched in flavor, made fresh with better ingredients and patience like grandma used to. The nonnas pizza crust is truly heavenlike, airy and crisp and the topping of tomato sauce makes it that much better. A plain slice should not be missed either, with its thin, yet crispy (not burnt) crust and just the right combination of fresh mozzarella and sauce and herbs.Both served hot and ready to eat. I enjoyed these with a cold goose island draft. Just exceptional all around. “Moved to the neighbourhood a couple of weeks back and were looking for a nice place to eat... we found Girasole within walking distance and it exceeded our expectations. The staff were attentive yet not overebearing and the food was delicious. “daFilippo's is a hidden gem of a restaurant that has been my family's special occasion standard for many year's. The Northern Italian menu which changes to focus on only the freshest ingredients has a little Swiss influence and is presented with an artistic touch and personal care. Last evening I hosted sixteen business associates in the back room which has an iron gate for privacy. Filippo presented a five course meal which blew everyone away followed by him playing a few songs on the Piano. The Chicken or Cod dishes were pan seared to perfection. daFilippo's is a BYOB restaurant which I Love. My wife remarked how clean the restrooms are kept. Plenty of parking in the rear of the building. In closing, if you are looking for a family owned, unique restaurant where the owner chef touches every plate to ensure perfection then this is the place to make a reservation.“

“When we decided to make a reservation here I was concerned because the parking situation in Madison is difficult. IlGoccino has parking in the rear of the restaurant so it was fine. The staff were warm and welcoming and they honored our reservation on arrival. The food was excellent - the salmon cooked to perfection and the chicken was tender and delicious as well. Not only were Anthony and Donna so nice and accommodating, but the food was out of this world! I cannot recommend Anthony's food, and service, more highly. Adrian took all of our orders including appetizers without writing anything down. The food was delivered to perfection. I am astounded by the diversity of the menu, the ability to switch out sides, the quality and taste of the food. The chefs are talented and cook to delight every palate. “After finishing my workout this morning, I found myself craving a good old-fashioned meatball parmigiana sandwich. I asked AI for local suggestions, and it pointed me toward Gabagool. Even though a meatball parm wasn’t listed on the menu, I decided to stop in and ask if they could make one. To my pleasant surprise — they happily did! The sandwich was absolutely delicious: perfectly seasoned meatballs, melted cheese, and just the right touch of sauce on fresh bread. I’ll definitely be back to try more from their menu — and maybe another one of those off-menu gems!“

“While this has been our grandparents' favorite Italian restaurant for over 20 years, this was my first time here. The food exceeded all expectations! I had a complimentary fied zucchini starter, truffle ravioli, pappardelle with spicy pork ragu topped with mascarpone and zabaglione with red fruit. Everything was so delicious and flavorful. The service was great, and the grandma's birthday was such a success. Thank you!

It's one of the better NY/NJ style pizzas in the area without being too specialized.Their pasta and meat menu items are where they are best - looking at you Chicken Puicinella and Cavatelli with Broccoli.For appetizers, they have great wings which are crispy, the way I like them. Also, the fried calamari uses a very light batter, so it's not too heavy.We've ordered trays from them twice for parties and we weren't disappointed in the quantity provided and they were affordable.“
