“I've lived here for 30 years, and this was our first time at Ridge. My group of six arrived at 2:30, and we were the only diners. People did come and go for take-out. We were served the best warm bread I've had in a long time--crusty on the outside and warm and soft on the inside. I believe the owner was our server, and he was very accommodating. The food was delicious! We brought some wine and were given wine glasses. This is what we ordered: Mozzarella sticks - Good and typical of what you would usually have. Meatballs - I loved them. Good flavor and delicious marinara Pesto Chicken Panini - Excellent Sausage Parmesan sandwich - My husband didn't think it was anything special, but the bread was great Bucatini Amatriciana: Pasta with Italian bacon and onions in a fresh tomato sauce. It was mildly spicy and flavorful, and the portion was good. The kids split a Margarita pizza with fresh mozzarella, sliced tomatoes, fresh tomato sauce, and basil. Delicious Overall, we enjoyed the food. We have no complaints and are glad we chose to eat here.“

“Such a great dinner spot! Came here with a two coworkers and were blown away by the service. Our waiter gave detailed recommendations that turned out to be delicious!! I got the ragú as my main meal and loved it, and the cabbage/shrimp appetizer was what especially surprised us with its flavor. “When I arrived with my 4 year old daughter, I realized this restaurant may be a little more formal than we expected and not a place that served many kids. However, our experience was wonderful, and I can’t wait to go back. The staff treated my daughter so nicely & made her feel welcome, the food was delicious, they had a nice wine list, and a lot of care went into every detail. This is how a restaurant should be. Everything we ordered was tasty & well prepared, we had a nice swordfish appetizer and whole branzino that was filleted table side. “Came here on Pi day 3/14 for a large plain pie and a grandma’s pie. The plain pie is 11.00 and the grandmas was a little higher. The style is thin crust and does not disappoint. We almost had the table at the entry door next to the pianist. How would anyone like being seated there...cold and loud. Thankfully we took a table in the back of the restaurant. DiMaio’s has a good amount of tables for dining in.The restaurant itself has a casual, subtle and warm vibe. I found it very relaxing. This place is family friendly, and Wheelchair Friendly. They can also accommodate vegetarians.When you arrive there’s a few spots in the front, 2 handicapped spots, and a few regular spots with remaining parking in the back around the side of building.This restaurant has been around for at least 45 years. It’s has been a staple in the Berkeley Ht’s area.For starters some of us chose their Tomato, Cucumber, and Feta Salad. The rest chose their House Salad with shaved Parmesan on it. Both salads were very good. Hot Rolls with Butter were also put on the table.For my Entree I chose their Rigatoni and Chicken Alla Serafino-Sundried tomato, broccoli, mushrooms, peas. It had a light flavor and subtle components.One of my friends chose their Chicken Valdostana- it was served with mushrooms, prosciutto & Asiago cheese. My friend ate every morsel.Another friend chose for her Entree Chicken Marsala-mushrooms and Marsala wine, she enjoyed it.Another friend chose for her Entree Seafood Marinara-shrimp, scallops, mussels, clams, and calamari. Again, everyone enjoyed their meal. The food is good here. We found for the area the food was pricey. Their chicken Francese was $29. The Seafood Marinara was $39. The other thing I found interesting was there was a charge to serve our own birthday cake. $2 per person.We decided to let the birthday girl take it home and enjoy it with her family. We just ordered desserts we picked off their tray. They were delicious , but for the price they were small portions which ranged between $11-$13 apiece. That’s definitely pricey for dessert.They do catering and parties here. I’ve had their pizza, and it’s decent too. “We hosted our kiddos baptism at Savor and it was just wonderful. Our guests all raved about the food and how beautiful everything turned out. Robert and Lisa were really great to work with during the planning process and even accommodated a last minute change for us. “I think this is my second or third review of Azzurro. My wife and I live in the Lehigh Valley in Pennsylvania and drive 42 miles to Peapack at least twice a month (although this week we were there twice) to dine at the best Mediterranean/Italian restaurant in N.J. We have several Mediterranean/Italian favorite restaurants in N.J. All run by Albanians. However, Azzurro is just a touch above the others. The quality of food is outstanding (Rigatoni Azzurro and Eggplant Parmigiana are standouts) with all entrees cooked to order (pasta true al'dente). Prices are very reasonable with excellent desserts priced at $7. The servers are total professionals and attentive. The restaurant is roomy, clean and have nice paintings on the wall. And to top it off, it's BYOB. We just love the place.
