“It was early morning. We had gone to another IHOP that was advertised as opening early. That wasn’t the case so we came to this one. We usually doubt come here because it’s usually packed because it’s very small. However, since we opened the store there was not a long line. It was only 1 cook and 1 server when we arrived. The lady apologized for any delays. The food was hot and cooked as IHOP should taste. She even separated the ice so I can adjust it to my liking.“

“My family had great meals at this IHOP food was very good we had pancakes, eggs, bacon, hash browns and waffles everything tasted delicious. Our server Miyah went above and beyond to greet us with a smile as she served our drinks and food. She often came to our table to ask if we required anything else. I highly recommend this IHOP for both the amazing atmosphere, good service and great food.

Vegetarian options: Has pancakes, french toast and waffles and well as other options on the menu.

Wheelchair accessibility: I have a walking disability and it was extremely easy to access the restaurant and also easy to manuever inside the building also it has a bathroom equipt for wheelchair accessibility.“

The sandwich was perfectly balanced: crispy hash browns, flavorful Taylor ham, and gooey melted cheese all stacked between a fresh, toasted everything bagel. “I was there last Tuesday as my friends and I have been coming on Tuesdays to take advantage of the senior discount. We usually ask to be seated at Briana’s assigned area but for whatever reason she was not there. (Hope she’s Ok)Geraldo had been asked to cover for her in her absence and I must say he did a wonderful job .Geraldo was very attentive and friendly ,getting us whatever we needed in a timely manor and made our visit very enjoyable. “One of our favorite places to take out. Everything is always fresh and the quality never changes. My husband and I love their wraps and my kids love their chicken fingers. The fries are the best and travel well / never soggy. The staff is also always so friendly - including and especially John who kindly runs the food out to my car anytime I call ahead if I happen to be with my kids so I don’t have to unload and load 2 kids just to run inside and grab the order. My husband and I stumbled across this small grill diner hidden in the cut — and what a find! We stopped in for brunch and everything was spot on. He had the shrimp and grits, and I went with the meat lovers with egg whites. Both dishes were so good — seasoned just right and cooked perfectly. The food was delicious and the service was just as excellent. We’ll definitely be back. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a cozy spot with quality food. 👌🏼“

“What a great and convenient place to have lunch or breakfast. I truly enjoy the sandwiches and soups. My favorite is beef barley on Tuesdays. “I ride by this place all the time and kept saying I was going to stop by I finally stopped by and I wasn’t disappointed the food was excellent the Floridian French toast I loved the fresh fruit , turkey sausage good and the biscuit with turkey gravy is hard to find everyone cooks it with pork so I really enjoyed it . “I eat breakfast here about 3-4x a week and the food is good. My only issue is that on Aug 12 2025 I ordered my usually breakfast sandwiches and instead of telling me they ran out of eggs they sold me the sandwiches at full price and yea beef bacon cheese on a roll with jelly does not hit the same without eggs. I didn't hold it against them and I came in today Aug 13 and me not even asking for anything free or any favors started to inform the woman at the counter what happened and she just cut me off mid sentence and asked for my order she clearly did not care. I left it alone and this was my favorite breakfast spot but today will be the last time I give them my business. The food is great tho.“

“It’s simple, laid back, and neighborhood friendly. Just like its name it’s BASIC & honestly I like the average vibes it offers.

The giant windows allow great natural light in, and the space is rustic mixed with a bookstore. It would be great if they would place outdoor tables to invite visitors in. Honestly sometimes I can’t tell whether they are open or not….

Additionally, I do wish they offered variety such as sandwiches and dinner items and catered for longer hours until 7:30 pm. It would be ideal considering there’s a rush in the area past 6 pm. I am very curious to see how they stay afloat now with the new bagel shop down the block.

The female cashier is nice as well as the chef. The owner doesn’t show much expression or emotion, and I respect him for keeping to himself. I just hope you can keep up with the changes in the neighborhood, I’m rooting for you Basic Cafe!
