“Never underestimate places like Usagi. We were looking for sushi to eat tonight on a Friday night, but most of the local places in this area are usually busy and they require a reservation. I made a call to Usagi and they said they had availability to eat. We came right away and we were able to eat delicious sushi. We ordered the spicy miso ramen, and that was out of this planet. Li was a great host, please do yourselves a favor and come on down to Oakhurst, NJ and support a local restaurants!“

“Great sushi place. It's a very small restaurant that could only hold a few tables. Food is great. I did take out here because it was much quicker. I would come back again for the sushi rolls. There is plenty of parking in the lot. There are great lunch specials here. Food came quick as soon as I ordered. You can free the sushi chef making the food from the front door. It was good to see them creating the food.“

“Akimori on the upper east side is a delightful culinary experience. The fish was extraordinary and the presentation was amazing. The vegetarian option could use a little more creativity. We had the restaurant ourselves, and it was like having a private chef. Kudos to Paul who made us feel so welcome.“

That said we knew it was going to be a good evening before even trying our food! Then we had the tuna pizza and ceviche PHENOMENAL! We asked if we could have chips with the ceviche and at first they were unsure but they made it happen and it was so good! We also tried three rolls and honestly they were some of the best we've ever had! We cannot wait to be back!“

So much variety! Sushi, poke bowls, burgers, meat pizzas (pulled beef is the best!), salmon platters, vegetarian options, impossible burgers, etc, etc.
Great service too!
The interior can use an update but, otherwise, a great experience in every respect and for every age!
Last but not least, this restaurant is not overpriced like every other kosher option nearby.

“I was so, so, so pleasantly surprised by this place! I went in for a quick lunch expecting a typical greasy takeout meal. I recieved delicious, crispy katsu with a side of rice and soup. It was a hibachi sit-down quality meal for a fraction of the price and wait time. The lady working the counter (may 8th at like 2:00) was so sweet and polite. “My husband and I LOVE River Rock's outdoor dining. We enjoy seeing the boats coming and going while we eat. The Manasquan River is a beautiful sight. Any food items that we have ordered are delicious. Lauren Guenther is one of our favorite servers. She's a sweetheart. She's very friendly, personable, and very focused on what she's doing. We know Lauren from when she served at Carrabba's. She was very special to us back then as she is now. Being local residents, we visit River Rock frequently during the summer and we will ALWAYS request either Lauren or Kelsey Conover because we simply adore them both. River Rock is our outdoor Happy Place during the summer. 💗💗“

“Asia Star Cafe is one of my favorite restaurants in southern Monmouth County! They have an excellent variety of entrées from around the Asian continent, including Chinese, Japanese, and Thai. My partner and I dine in regularly. We often go in the late evening, and its often nice and quiet. The staff recognize us and they are always extremely friendly. The food is wonderful. We've tried a variety of dishes and have always enjoyed whatever we've gotten. I recommend the Singapore Mei Fun, Chicken Teriyaki, Wonton soup, and Gyoza. My partner recommends Pad Kee Mao, any sushi roll, and Tom Yum Soup. You can see the sushi chef at the counter within the dining room. They offer both simple and complex sushi rolls, all of which are extremely fresh and delicious. The restaurant itself is very clean, and it's a very welcoming environment. We're very thankful for Asia Star Cafe! I highly recommend it!“

“Yum! Usually only do take out here, but their sushi is fantastic. Have never been disappointed. Try the sweetheart roll or surprisingly enough, if you are craving something with a bit of mango with a nice tuna- try the Mexican roll! Both creative and pleasing to the taste buds. The all you can eat menu is a huge plus with tons of options, and everything comes out quick without sacrificing quality.
